I agree. I always prefer the songs to be played by the people that recorded them.

I even made a thread once that Shanks should be the band's primarily guitarist when his schedule allows it. He writes, produces songs and now plays guitar on most of them. They're as much his songs as older Bon Jovi songs are Richie's. He's the second most influential person in the band after Jon.

Listening to "Who Says you can't go home", and "Livin on a prayer", acoustic from Jon's appearance at his award for the global citizen at the clinton foundation, he sounds weak. Doesn't inspire confidence for the upcoming Tour.

Yeah, he really did. Dreading the tour now.

Hmm, I don't know what you guys have, I think he sounds alright for that kind of event. Sure, his voice used to be thicker, but I can't imagine him giving his all on such an intimate, stripped down performance, if you know what I mean (yelling/strength of voice wise)...

EDIT: hmm, and Phil adapted to Jon's choice of Takamine guitars?

Absolutely dreadful performance, guys, Jon is done. His voice doesn't cut it anymore for concerts. Such a shame.

If not a miracle happens, the upcoming Bon Jovi tour will be a black mark in the history of touring rock acts.

Jon's voice plus the Clintons?

Just when I thought things couldn't get much worse.
