Yeah. And things always tend to sound (even) better when played louder and sped up a little

BTW, and totally off-topic, what's the thing with all those (full screen/window) popups here? It took me 20 seconds and a right click on the task bar to kill one of those things just now. Totally annoying

Some radio stations also alter the sound a bit by applying some post-production work on EQ in order to make the songs fit quite smoothly soundwise. Attacking the volume and speed may also lead to it sounding differently.

So on Chris Evan's show on Radio 2 Jon says that Phil X and Hugh are still not official members even though they are on all the band photos etc.

When Asked how many official members there are Jon's answer: "One. Me!"

Says it all really....

He played it off as a joke when Chris pushed him and he mentioned Tico and Dave, but I guess we all know that it's not really a band at all anymore...

Did you actually listen to it, as it was very much a joke.

You can't complain about people twisting Richie's quotes and then do exactly the same to Jon the next day

Yes I listened to it. He may have played it off as a Joke but why even say that. Honestly, I thought it was well out of order. He only went on to mention Tico and Dave after Chris encouraged him.

I'm not twisting anything, that's what he said, but people can be their own judge. 15 years ago he would always go out there making sure that they were promoted as a band. The fact that he even said that, to me, says a lot about where he is now compared to then.

Yeah, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that was my initial gut reaction when I heard that.

I'm not one of these people that is always positive to Richie and negative to Jon either, so don't make me out to be please. I have posted positives and negatives about both of them...

I thought he came across great on the One show yesterday, so I was disappointed by that remark today. That's all...

Bob Rock said that he worked with band in 1986/1988 and when he worked with Bon Jovi again in 1992 it was Jon + Guys.
It was new vision from Jon. Band almost broke up after NJ and Jon decided to make it in a different way. Half of KTF is only Jon credits.

Only thing you missed is that you said it was 15 years now... no it was from KTF. New direstion, Jon was only one person who decided where, when and how they will continue their history.

15 years ago Jon was releasing solo songs he made with his solo band under the band name so why are people acting like things have recently changed? Like only in the past 5 years it's been the Jon show....

Yeah, that was certainly the case behind the scenes, but in interviews in the press Jon would very much talk about the band as a BAND...

I just got done converting all my old VHS tapes of stuff recorded off the TV from 92 - 2000ish (I ended up with 15 DVDs worth!) and Jon was all about giving the other guys credit.

I agree, I think the last 5 years his attitude has changed somewhat as far as how he wants the band to be perceived...
