New shows (promo?)

It's time to get over it now. This is the second album without Richie. This will be the first tour from the start without him (not counting mini 2015 tour)
He missed way over half of the 2013 tour.

It is annoying hearing the same shit from the pair of them but we will get that and until we get interviews without the same questions, this is what we will continue to get.

But why not the white lie they've been using, that everybody can believe and is good enough for the interviewer to move on to the next question? I know drama sells, but we are talking about two men in their 50s, not Taylor Swift. I don't think anybody will care anyway, they are old, not that attractive anymore and they have been out of the gossip scene for years. I really don't see the benefits of dropping hints and causing speculation. I don't care if Jon decides to tell the truth, but either he does or he answers politely, gives a fake smile and moves on. Petty doesn't look good on anybody. And frankly I don't want to hear/read any more team Richie/ team Jon shit. If Jon would just STFU and gave the standard answer nobody would bat an eye.

Two different friends (one a casual fan, who only buys the albums and goes to the shows and enjoys whatever they do; another lives in the past and only listens to what I tell her to basically humor me) had the same reaction after watching the last interviews: Is Richie in rehab? They know he's been before thanks to the gossip magazines/blogs, not because they follow the music. Is that the kind of publicity the band needs? The vultures at TMZ dissecting their words and trying to find out the real truth? Three years later??

Anyway, good luck with the ticket giveaway, isn't it tomorrow? I hope I get the tickets hehe, would be great for my kid, but if it's not me, I hope at least somebody here gets tickets to give us a quality review

Is this directed at me? Because *I* have no problem at all with what they decide to do, except for Jon's holier than thou attitude, which is what I was talking about. Like i said in another post, people are already speculating, people who only knew that Richie left to purchase his solo career (i.e. heard the *official* reason) and were fine with that. Why do they speculate now? Because suddenly the safe, official reason is slowly being replaced with the truth. When everybody has moved on. Will this really sell more albums?

They are the ones creating the drama. Jon replies to the same questions with an almost word by word answer, he has his script and he follows it. Every single time in an album cycle. It's not like he forgot what he has to said, he's adding things on purpose. What I'm saying is "stop beating around the bush, say it already or give the canned response that works for everybody, and spend the time talking about the damn album".

The only one I've observed peddling drama is, quite frankly, you. We are not going to go through this album/tour cycle with you posting non-stop about Jon/Richie drama you've manufacturered in your head. This thread is about Bon Jovi promo shows and that is what people come here to read about. Not a single person gives a whit about any of the babbling nonsense you keep posting. Jon doesn't need to tip toe around because somebody who needs to find better things to do with their time is posting incessantly on a message board about things they don't understand. Richie doesn't need to explain anything and quite frankly, mature adults pretty inherently understand what happened and where things are now. Anybody who holds a steady job gets it. Get the hell over it and move on.

You are free to create a separate thread all about this. Don't expect it to be a popular one. Yes, I'm being harsh. Being nice just seems to be mistaken as encouragement. We couldn't get through a thread about the THINFS video without nutty posts all about how the video takes pot shots and desecrates the hallowed ground Richie shits on.

On a good news front...Guess who is going to the Red Bank show....yes, ME!! One of my friends, got an email from bonjovi.com from the drawing saying she was picked. So, I'm her date!!! YAY!!!!!!
