I'm trying to get through as much as I can while approaching 2:30 AM. Only up to New Years Day at this point.

My initial impressions:

Was I the only one who felt a bit on the emotional side hearing them back again?

I LOVE the false-ending of THINFS leading into an extended outro/second guitar solo with repeated of "I'm coming home!" When was the last time a lead single got a live treatment that didn't mimic the studio version down to the length/arrangement?

Thus far my excitement level for the album is at an all time high on more than one level based on what I've heard.

Am I mistaken or did Jon actually sing the "Coming Home"-part of thinfs? Did not expect that, considering that he almost can't sing it on the single (two times in the end with a broken voice haha)

Anyways, PhilX didn't record the THINFS solo but he played it last night:

Old Joy, They are playing the entire album so it makes sense for Shanks being there... He is not going to learn the entire Bon Jovi catalog and go on tour... Common Sense man

so says your "inside source" ?

If you want to join in a conversation, pay attention to what's been said. Common sense, dude!
Feel free to comment upon jovifan93's thoughts, just like I did. It's a forum, don't you remember?

Yeah, he did, from what I've seen. Didn't expect that either.

Considering the "broken" voice at the end of the studio version: I think what you call "broken" is done on purpose (screaming/shouting it)...

Yeah, you're right another possibility is that his voice actually has improved since the recording (remember, he said that thinfs had been done for a year)

I enjoyed listening to the Count Basie show, it exceeded my expectations. Jon's never going to get his high pitch voice, back.

You either accept Jon of 2016, or listen to the past. Roll on the Next Album after THINFS I say!
