I see a JT carpool thread coming...

If I'm lucky enough to get tickets I'll only need to book a hotel which won't be a problem hehe. I live less than 2hrs away by train. A day out with the kids ending with an epic show... sounds great

I haven't seen him sing it this good for a couple of years now. Though David (?) and someone else sing along in the verses, he seems to hit the higher notes again or more easily as has been the case in 2014/2015...
I also hear more prominent backing vocals, sounds different but it's fine (it's alright, it's alright lol) as long as Jon feels confident enough to carry his parts. I dare to say he sounds less nasal or almost non nasal at all which is really a dream come true.

But this is still an easy song. That IBTFY a few months ago was terrible when he tried to hit the notes :/

I agree that it was better than previous few versions, but that was purely because of Jon's effort, but when he went even a bit higher the tone was still terrible.

Dave did a nice job on the verses indeed!

Ok, strange request here... I want to listen to at least one new song. I can't resist anymore. So, which one is the worse?

Not the worse live because I don't expect them to sound their best, but the closest to their usual post2000 (either bland pop rock or souless acoustic ballad)

Oh, tough one. There was one that reminded me a lot of THINFS the song, but I honestly can't tell you right now which one it was all in all, it just is not the same old, in fact some tracks are fairly different! Just give it a listen

I read that God Bless This Mess was somewhat like THINFS.

I also want to wait for the album and decided to listen to one song, that was going to be kind of the same, and I picked Come on up to our house. Which indeed didn't add much .
