Then he must have been rather high in the Mix, at least for that Part. Which is uncommon, as bon jovi rhythm guitarists are Most of the time drowned in the Mix.

I mean, if there is going to be a permanent replacement of Richie, Jon should have paid equal attention to the vocal support for not only himself but for the songs.
Though i would very much agree with you, I would also like to add that richie's vocal Performance also got worse over the last years (although the brazil Shows were quite good). I doubt that the Richie of now could Sing everything with power what phil does (note-wise).

Matt had a great great loud tone. It was a nice change compared to Bobby's weak and quiet sound.

We're not talking about power though. The backing vocals in bon jovi songs aren't meant to be yelled. Richie has lost quite a bit of range but he's still got good tone and a warmth to his voice.

Does anyone actually prefer his voice over Richie's?

That's true, except for We don't run I would Say don't ask me why, but imo it just fits well in there.

(still, although power is certainly Not the Most important thing in bon jovi backing vocals, sung without power they can be quite lame)

Why is this breaking news?

I ****ing dare Jon to do carpool karaoke. He absolutely shouldn't, but just for the sake of me being right, he should do it and have the whole comment section of casuals surprised about how terrible his voice is; thus ultimately proving me right

GTFOH. Phil's vocals don't hold a candle to Richie's. Not even close.

I'd like to see Phil try to sing this with even half the power and tone as Richie.
