Default New Tour, Same Songs!!!!

Anyone else uninspired by the new set list from japan? I know I have seen Bon Jovi 13 times so it may be a case of BJ fatigue but I really hoped they would take a risk with the new tour.
they only played 4 songs from Bounce which is disappointing and who really needs to hear Sleep When Dead and Bad Medicine (Shout) AGAIN! And as for 'I Got the Girl' being played as an encore!!???

Here are some songs that would really improve the set list

Dry County
I Believe
I'd Die For You
Undivided
Love Me Back to Life
Always
Wild is the Wind
Blood on Blood
These Days
Its Hard Letting You Go

I know they might appear as the tour goes on but traditionally BJ have not swapped and changed their set lists around on previous tours so I don't hold out much hope.

The last great tour they did was 'These Days' when they played for nearly three hours, played some unusual songs, Richie sang and they had an accoustic set in the middle of the main set. Nowadays it seems to be going through the 'party rock' motions to me.
Any thoughts?

James

Always never improves a setlist. It makes it worse.

They played Always in 2001 at nearly every concert so it would be another song that they nearly always play at concerts and wouldn't be a change.

I'm a fanatic, but I was a bit disappointed too. Seriously, ditch Sleep When I'm Dead, and I got the girl. Play 1 more ballad, and play Undivided and Love Me Back To Life.

As for older songs, I'd like to hear

Wild Is The Wind
I'd Die For You
Living In Sin
Tokyo Road
Runaway
I believe
Let It Rock

I think they should really mix it up at each show this time around.

Apart from the setlist being a little boring. It also seems a little too short. When I went to see the boys on the OWN tour and show lasted nearly 3 hours, with the Japanese setlist I doubt if the show even lasted 1 1/2hours. Also Iam very upset that the band didn't play Individed. That song totally rocks

I don't think the set list in Japan was bad at all: they played Raise Your Hands, Dancin In The Streets,...maybe the should play songs that they haven't played too much lately like songs from the These Days, and of course from the first and second album.

These are the old songs i would like to hear live:

LET IT ROCK
TOKYO ROAD
ROULLETE
99 IN THE SHADE
HOMEBOUND TRAIN
SOCIAL DISEASE
FEAR
DRY COUNTY
DAMNED
HEY GOD
SOMETHING FOR THE PAIN

Does anybody think that the guys will read message boards like this and take ideas from us? i mean, everybody seems at least a bit disappointed by the setlists and clearly they should've changed it since 2000!!!

Maybe Jon is reading this and saying to Rich "mmm, I got the Girl and ISWID should go apparently, and Stick to Your Guns and Soemthing to Believe In should go in!" - i hope so!!!

Wouldn't that be nice? Hey, Jon, PLEASE loose Bad Name! And, Richie, it's WANTed, not wanTED! Well, they're the professionals. I've yet to see a person leaving a Bon Jovi concert with a frown on their face, so even if the die hards get tired of the same songs, they know how to please the crowd. Maybe, for some of us, our boredom is our own faults because we collect all the shows and the novelty is gone.

I agree Becky. I think if some of these fans are so upset about one set list published to date which sounded like fun show to me, they should give up their seats and let some new faces enjoy it. I think we will see some variety as the shows progress and I would love to hear some rarities but it is time to face facts. Bon Jovi are not going to feature These Days songs nor are they likely to play Drycounty. They are going to play set lists which are upbeat and make for a fun show. Most of the audience are not diehards and they don't spend their time collecting boots and trading files. They will be fans of the old hits and the new and they will have a great time even with the predictable set list because Bon Jovi put on a great show. I would love to see set list additions but I think they will do that depending on the audience (obviously some audiences love some stuff more than others or are more knowledgable in some areas of the Bon Jovi catalog than others) and I refuse to pass judgment on one set list to date.

However - the band must be aware there are many big fans in attendance. Look at it this way - Bounce, love it or hate, will not have won over a lot more fans the same way as crush maybe did. Now the so called "crush fans" are probably the newest decent sized fan base the band had. Those fans will have most likely attended either one or two concerts since then and therefore will have heard this "new" setlist already. In this case - they same old same old system they seemed to be using will not come as a welcome surprise to about 95% of the audience like people think it will. Tickets arent cheap, and I bet the majority - if not all the fans who forked out the money will own a few Jovi albums. On these albums - there are more than just their greatest hits therefore why shouldnt they play them? What harm would a few rarities do? Are the "new" fans going to walk out in disgust? I just don't understand who these setlists are supposed to appeal to?
