It's actually lovely to see all the reactions about something that's completely made up. It's not like you never fool someone. Also, people often overrate the time it costs to create a hoax.

i got in touch with one of the proposed venues and they would not confirm bon jovi were playing there but here is the reply=

The only confirmed concerts at the City of Manchester stadium are Oasis, who are playing on Thursday 30th June, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2005.

No other concerts are confirmed as yet, however it is highly likely that we will be hosting more in the closed season. Whether or not it is Bon Jovi has yet to be confirmed!
Sorry I can't be more specific!


not exactly denying it for sure and my mate works down there and there is one big band expected in the summer

nope- in this case i wasn't friendly and being friendly was not what i planned when i wrote that message. and i'm gonna tell you why: you said you rarely post here and it seemed to me that you only post when we write shite- meaning you're only here to get info and in case someone makes a hoax you post here to tell us that we're all stupid bastards. imho that 's not very "social"- that's why i chose to be unfriendly at this point...

there's a kind of special clientele on this board who only posts negative things to tell us how stupid we are although they come here regularly to see if there's some information for them to get.... i don't say that everyone who comes here to seek info without getting in touch with the community is an a**hole- it's you're right... but it definately sucks that some ppl come here regularly and only post if they can bring on some negative stuff... this is a fan community and everyone who comes here should be aware that posted info which is (yet) unannounced might be a hoax... so take it as it is but pls. leave us alone with messages like "you drycounty guys are such idiots"...

If Bon Jovi tour this thats it, they have finished!! It would be like a farewell tour, the boxset , a cracking final album and a massive tour to say thank you and goodbye to all the fans!!

They would say this, wouldn't they? It's a new stadium, and the PR people are probably wrecking their minds off, trying to get events and big names there. They don't particularly care if it's BJ or not, they just get the events.

Not exactly confirming it either. And that one big band could be anyone really.

Don't get me wrong, I really really wish BJ would play the stadium - I've never been there before myself, just seen it from outside, but am hoping to go to a match over Christmas, and I would love for BJ to play there!!!! Just from this post, I wouldn't get my hopes high.
