Aloha !

I don't see it happen. Not internationally. This band doesn't know enough rare stuff of their own to make a setlist of 100 minutes.

But if they start playing those boxset songs, it'll mean that this Bobby Bandiera and Jeff Kazee will join them on tour. No thank you.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

This would be very cool if indeed they could do it . I don't think money would be a reason for them not to, the regular tour shows will make them plenty. I think the logistics and timing are probably a much bigger factor than money.
As for Bobby and Jeff joining them on the road, live 8 was a pretty good indication to me that these guys are packing their bags maybe with a couple of other extras and going on the road with the band this tour. I know alot of you don't like this idea but I do. I think it will make for a fuller sound, it will certainly allow for some creativity, and it will free up Jon to do different things on stage. I honestly think this is a good idea.

I don't. First of all, the sound isn't fuller. Listen to the Borgata performance for the promotion of the boxset. A lot of songs even sound weaker, It's My Life is a good example for that.

Second, there's no way they'll be able to play rarities as they'll probably only rehearse the big hits, as they're the most important. Do you see the band playing Living In Sin out of nowhere with 2 new bandmembers that have never joined this band on the road?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

At the smaller venue shows yes i do. The background vocals at Live 8 sounded great with the extra voices and if Jon is free from playing guitar it gives him much more freedom on stage. Remember Seb, these guys play with Jon alot at charity events, they know songs that are not hits. Besides if they really are going on the road with the band do you not think thay are learning the songbook??? Jeff and Bobby are longtime friends of Jon and the band I imagine over the years they have become pretty familiar with the bands songs.
I'll except what you say about "fuller". It's not really the word I want but it's 330am where I am and the old brain isn't functioning at full capacity.

This would be great if it's true and it certainly could be. Jon has been done quite a few solo accoustic gigs recently with Bobby Bandiera, Jeff Kazzee and that girl who plays violin. He has also mentioned previously that they will be playing songs from the box-set, more from These Days and Richie has mentioned that they'll both be playing more solo stuff since they don't have time to tour seperatley.

Money will be an issue but it dose say in the article that those tickets will be priced at the high end of the market. The only thing that makes me somewhat sceptical is the fact that it will presumabley mean adding alot more shows and I can't really see Bon Jovi doing that. That means then, an already short tour will basically be halved to accomidate these shows.

It would be great to see a show like that but I'm just not sure how likely it is. I'll gladly be proved wrong though.

when I read it, I took it to mean they would do this in a few bigger cities where theater goers are used to paying 250-300 bucks a ticket for that kind of thing, maybe that isn't what it meant, just guessing

It'd be sursprising and I certainly wouldnt get my hope up for hearing rare stuff if it did happen.

Take Sheperds Bush - one off gig, 2000 absolute die hard fans yet they still play shout, bad medicine, bad name etc. Lets put it this way, id see what other setlists were like before getting my ticket

You canīt compare Sheperds Bush to these tourplans. Sheperds Bush was a Promo Gig for the Bounce Record and broadcasted in radio and web all over the world. It wasnīt a show for the 2000 people in the room but for millions of listeners all over the world.

Yeah but my point is they had the chance in that arena to throw in a few rareties but didnt. It was the same old routine

It's not unthinkable though that Bon Jovi could change things up this time 'round .

They also mention the likelyhood of 26 US dates and 19 international dates
Are they additional dates to the ones that have already been discussed? ie, 50 US Cities, 13 European and 5 Japanese etc.
