Yes, and Richie's father who passed away from lung cancer was also cared for at Sloan Kettering hospital and those employees are getting first dibs on the tickets as they should.

and just 2 minutes ago you were calling me dumb, how dumb

If it were free tickets there wouldn't be much use for a charity gig - the idea of charity is to raise as much money as possible for a good cause.

You learned something new about charity, so your a bit less dumb, however still dumber then dumb, but there is a bit hope for you

You are trying to be the new superstupid huh ? I know that it is a charity gig. But you should not charge those who took care of Richies Dad. IMHO I would give them free tickets as a "Thank you". The ticket prices being that high is ok as it is a charity gig but you should not charge those who should benefit from it.
DO you GET IT NOW?
And I thought Supersonic was the dumbest person on here.
But looking at your avatar I forgive you as you are pretty one dimensional to put it in nice words (as Xmas comes along!)

Born To Run, your argument MIGHT have been valid if the band were setting the ticket prices. Its the HOSPITAL and the charity who are setting the cost of the show, and they are having usch huge demand for such a limited number of tickets that the HOSPITAL is realising they can make more money which is the aim of the show.

The band have nothing to do with it. The doctors who treated Richies father are the ones who are willing to pay this to donate to the charity and to the hospital they work at. There have been other events for both Sloan Kettering and MD Anderson in Texas where Richie has recognised the hospital staff in his own way, and indeed most of the doctors who treated his father were thanked on the Lost Highway booklet, so those people have been adequately thanked by Richie. This is a completely different situation.

Ok thanx for the info - sounded a bit strange to me at first. At least you put it in a nice way instead of this other guy whose name I forgot!
Thanx!

Thank you Liza for explaining the motive of the show and why the doctors/nurses would be given first crack at the tickets.

That's great, Deb. Have fun! I'll be at home watching the dog show and counting the days until Chicago . . .
