I was at a Bruce show in 2003 when something similar happened though. They said that if the lightning was bad enough - they would stop the show and evacuate the top tier until it stopped.
And yes - there was magic in the night for that second show.

I suppose it should have scared us but I was too in to the concert to be nervous. Quite a few people did leave from that section when it started to rain though. By the time Prayer came on it (the lightning) was reeeaaalllly close and it was thundering pretty loudly, (not sure this could be heard lower in the stadium) so it was likely a good decision to end early.
I would have hated to be the only section evacuated though.
