Hmmmmm, Aerosmith may tour once or twice a year, but they barely leave their back gardens when they do so

I honestly hope they never ever ever play at Slane Castle.
I would go but it just wouldnt be...the same or something.

As for a tour Id say we would be lucky if they tour in 2008 (here in Europe)
Unless of course its gonna be a greatest hits album.
OWN was 2001 a year after Crush.

where did u read that? I think they should defintely do a festival tour at some point. It's quite easy, no trucks, no stage to set up, no venues to book...you just come, play and get the money. Besides it's a different crowd, most probably a heavier crowd and I am sure they would push more. Look at the setlists from Monsters Of Rock, Rock amd RIng and Rock im Park 1995 or Heineken Jammin' 2003. The later I attended and it was great to see Metallica, Bon Jovi and Iron Maiden on 3 consecutive days. It was also extremely cool to see guys in Metallica t-shirts looking up on the screens and watching Sambora kicking everything there is to kick out of his ****in' guitar and then saying "wow".

Bon Jovi tend to not tour unless they have something new out, which makes sense. I'd love it if they played the festivals. They could really use something to boost the rock image, cuz it's fading. At least if they hit Europe, they could do more rock songs. I doubt the Country album will be released there, they gotta stay visable. And then they could open Wembley. Who knows..

You think it's only gonna be released in some regions?

I don't know how they're going to pull it off. I keep reading that Europe doesn't really have a strong market for country music, right? How do country cds sell in your area? If it doesn't have a market, I don't really see them releasing it there. I could be wrong though.

I'm not convinced that they're doing a "country" CD. I think they'll have songs that blur the lines between country and rock. Country radio in the USA has been more receptive to them than rock radio and the success on country radio got Who Says (band version) picked up by Adult Contemporary radio. That happens with a fair amount of country hits and is in no way unique to Bon Jovi. I think whatever they release will still sound like Bon Jovi and can be marketed as rock outside the USA, even if it fits in the country market here. Airplay = sales = market for touring. But they also know that if they veer too far left (ahem), they won't have the sales to support touring.

I'm with you Becky. I'm not at all convinced this record that Jon talked about will be a "country" record at all. I think the songs may be along the lines of Miss Fourth Of July or Postcards From The Wasteland. We shall see.
