So guys, I did some detective work. This is the Sunday Night football game, which of course is broadcast by NBC. Bon Jovi is, of course, NBC's lapdog for the next month or so... so now it makes sense why this is coming out of nowhere (bands generally don't perform at halftime of NFL games sans the season opener and the Super Bowl); NBC probably arranged with the NFL to let them do this to promote their 'artist in residence'. I also highly doubt they'd waste the time to come out and play just one song, so it's entirely possible we might get a mini-set... if this indeed happening. If it is, let's hope they put on a good show; plenty of people (and a lot of male fans who probably scoff at the band) will be watching; could be a good opportunity to open eyes.
