Well that's great to hear. Even if folks thought the set list was sub par, at least it performed well, lol!!

This is what im afraid of...The sets going from one end of the spectrum to the other in the space of a few shows....

Why deny the fans, the real fans what they want? Dont they tire of playing this setlist? I mean, how can they not be aware of the whole These Days thing!? They are, im sure of it! I wouldnt care if they did a whole gig of status quo covers if they played the entire These Days album as an encore!
I can remember downloading a radio interview with Richie & he was asked why they neglect These Days...His answer was something like, the album didnt do that well in the charts, or some crap like that. Thats the thing it seems These Days, the band are 2 interested in critics/charts etc, peoples opinions. Surely the fans are all that matters. The fans should have a say. We should be listened to. These Days was huge in the uk, or am i not remembering correctly? They knocked Jacko off the top spot!

As i said before, making every gig special would be easy. And it only takes one or two songs to make a gig amazing. If they had thrown in Dry County or any These Days song, with the exception maybe of Diamond Ring, that set would have been great.

I also notice that the better sets seem to be in certain cities....Thats why im a little concerned about what will be played at Hampden, the only Scotland date! The set is usually pretty standard for us, thats why im trying to encourage people to make this one hell of a crowd! Make signs, sing songs, i dunno, these things probably wont work, but its worth a try i think.

Theyve just turned into this big party band now..

End of rant

I'd be careful tossing around the "give the fans what they want" accusation. Because they've worked pretty damn hard over the last few years to do just that. Between the box set and constantly adding cool songs to the set, this was just a show where they didn't add something super secret extra rare. We should all just thank our lucky stars Dry County is back, heh.

Its just how i feel. Im not talking about their releases. Its just frustrating.

And the fans in Holland dont care if Dry County is back, cos they didnt hear it. As the Boss once said, you gotta give everything every night, because the fans on that night arent concerned with the epic 5 hour concert which took place the previous week, they are there now, right now! And they expect to receive the same show. They should get it. Those are not the exact words of Mr Springsteen, but thats the jist of the point he was trying to make.

That's simply asking too much. They cannot be expected to play the song every night. I mean it's 10 minutes and all. They'd crumble if they had to pull it off every night.

I'm still a bit confused about the setlist. Sure, it was kinda boring, but it had 4 Euorpean debuts. But then again, exchange I Believe for I'd Die For You and exchange Bounce songs for HAND songs and they played the same songs as they did in 2003. Still mixed feelings.
