No longer getting down with John Rich?

yeh but my argument is i think personally people can no longer be harsh on the band overcertain aspects so they revert to the completely ridiculous threads such as this one, then (and this is the worst bit) it gets blown out of proportion, a massive conspiracy theory begins and then for the rest of the tour this little story becomes intwined in much larger stories and ****s up the overall concept of what people think.

i dont mind threads like what u started, its good as a 'anorak' (sp?) to see changes but when people start talking rubbish its annoying!

I hear you. I'm not the type to fly off the handle and make up CRAZY things and then pass those thoughts off as fact. I'm merely wondering if John Rich's recent actions are why Jon is singing it like this. Maybe not. The real purpose of the thread is when did it start.

but from the posts previous to this you can already tell its basically chinease whispers... and i (as well as others) hate it when this spills onto another thread. We've had it over bobby, hugh setlists, tour dates, venues et al, and at the end you get some smart arse (used to be me, ill give you that!) using pure initiative to spread rumours and shit into other threads.

The line sucks anyway. First of all, Big and Rich aren't usually with them when they perform it so we're not "gettin' down" with them at all.... and secondly Jon pronounces his own name wrong.

I noticed that, too. He says "Gettin down with Big and Rich and Richie and Joan." Stupid country twang thang.

Matt, what did John Rich say/do recently? He gets bad press quite a bit, but I haven't heard anything about homophobic remarks.
