What annoys me is, "with these new songs WE are ready."

Is she in Richie's new band then? Is the next record going to be a Richie/Nikki collaboration.

Shit happens. The band has been very lucky throughout their career that nothing this crazy has ever happened. He should just make a public statement on the band's webpage and on Facebook saying that due to Richie's absence and Tico's health, they're ending things early. It's not fair to the fans that have paid good money to see the whole band and delaying things any more is just not realistic. Thank people for their patience. Let them know they need a break but will be back in a couple of years.

Is there anyone here that wouldn't agree with this?
Agree 100%. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

I do think though if Richie wasn't out that there would be no question that a replacement drummer would be put in. But pushing on with only 50% of the band? I don't know. And it's more than just Jon's call. The promoter and label have a say.

I'm not one that usually defends Nikki but "we" means the fanbase. She's talking as a spectator, not as someone with involvement.

As tactless as she can be the world shouldn't stop because the drummer of his "former" band is ill, I don't think she did anything wrong here.

Before the Borg/Lunds' bodyguards jump in, it has to be said it's not her account, it's "NikkiRich official intern"'s account... whatever the hell that means.

This Twitter account is run by a WTB intern, not by Nikki herself. So basically a fan is talking.

An "official" fan, mind you.

I think she's saying WE as fans are ready. She's including herself as a fan.

But she need not speak for me. THIS fan is ready for him to rejoin Bon Jovi. She needs to STFU and meet with her buyers or whatever and leave Richie's music career alone. And her mother needs to mind her own business too.

Sorry. I must have been typing when you posted. Didn't mean to go behind you and say the same thing.

Also Richie's official Facebook page shared his new song:

"In honor of the victims', families, and heroes of 9/11, Richie and Bernie Taupin have written and recorded this tribute to the first responders keeping us safe around the country. Please listen and share on this important day for reflection. #heroes"
