If David Bryan could not play, the tour would follow, no matter the band. This is just about Jon and his business.

This is looking more and more to the movie "Highlander".

In the end...

Cool new Richie song! Sounds genuine and like the stuff he likes to do while not catering to sound current or hip....

When I hear a song like this, I realise just how capable Richie is of writing simple, emotive lyrics that evoke real emotion and tell a really bloody good story. It makes me wish he and Jon hadn't decided that they had to write 'the happy song' every time, or the song that resonates with everyone in the crowd. Be specific, write someone's story.

Because when you hear stuff like this, you wonder why Jon looks anywhere else for a songwriting partner when he wants to pen one of his Springsteen-esque, Billy Joel-type tunes.

Unfortunately, Richie hasn't got the recognition or respect to get a song like this 'out there' which is why his 'friends' have to push it.

I guess I am somehow viewed as a 'Borg/Lund' bodyguard' as Jessy delicately puts it... but even if not - I just don't see any sense in attacking someone for supporting their friend in a situation I know NOTHING about.

Is she a leech? Very probably. Would you be any different if you were in the inner circle of someone you cared about and had business interests with? People on here have taken to social media to support their 'side' just as much as Nikki Lund has - and those people don't even know the individuals involved personally. Isn't that more reprehensible?

I don't support her, I am not a 'bodyguard' and I am not sure I've seen anyone on here who is. But blaming her and Borg for the demise of this band is easier than coming to the conclusion that Jon and Richie are very probably being pricks and doing this to themselves.

Love the song though.

HIS business... it's HIS business. They could be doing exactly what he wants them to do. Which is my point - Richie doesn't need you or I to protect him, we don't know him, we don't know them.

Welcome to social media, blogging, online marketing... you are supporting the band by writing on here but do they need it? Why should they stay quiet just because a Richie without Bon Jovi offends some people? And of course Richie needs the support, his album - a good album, IMO - bombed and the tour did even worse; because most people's appreciation of him begins and ends with his involvement with Jon. If he's not standing next to Jon, those people who idolised him yesterday couldn't give a sh*t about him today - all without knowing the facts. That's fine, I'm not judging. But they'll still leap all over anyone who dares tweet about a new song?!?!?! I just don't see the sense.

But yeah, get Cher on board. She's never out of the press so I'm sure her endorsement would tip it over the edge.

Hate to say it, but Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics to this song, not Richie.
