No Richie on current leg of the tour

Maybe "many". But, I also think for some reason Richie is listening to all these new artists, pretty certain Jo Roman was in one of the pics I saw from NY. Relevance??? I hope Richie realizes that no matter what happens, his fan base IMO would prefer he stay to his roots, bluesy, guitar riff, core talent. I'm not impressed with a lot of the new what ever it is. Maybe as I read some where among all this mess he is looking to produce and go on the back side of the business? Plus, it was 5am US EC time when that posted. He came in from OZ (bad enough jet lag), flew out of LA by the pics posted the next day to NY - his internal time clock must be in shambles. Even clean & sober I would be a mess.

Yeah, pick the one that premiered that night and was probably given to Phil that day for learning it. The stuff from the TD era is much tougher to learn than any of the stuff from the last decade. We should stay fair and judge him on songs he had more than one or two shots at. Plus, that night, they pushed out Wild is the Wind for the first time and he did an amazing job on that one.

The guy did a poor job in a lot of songs, great job in others, that's a FACT. They rehearsal the songs that will be played on the tour, anything beyond that is just supposition.

That was once, premiere night and he's played it perfectly every time since then. Mistakes are just that, the way you said it you were implying that he does this type of shit nightly, which just isn't true. I love Richie as much as anybody, he used to be my hero! But facts are facts, up to the 2011 tour, Richie made mistakes like that nightly, it wouldn't take much to find them on youtube. Phil also messed up the Wanted solo, started to play LH when it was supposed to be BTBMB and probably a few more that I'm missing. That is still just a fraction of the mistakes that Sambo was making from 2005 till 2011, on EACH show. Go ahead, search, it won't take much time to find a dozen of them on youtube. He looked and sounded better on the first leg of this tour, but he left in April....

Yeah I want Richie back, sure. But I don't want a passionless boring Richie who is forced to be there or is doing it for the money. Phil brings that whole new, fresh side.

not forcing anything, just saying you're providing false info. It wasn't everytime he played the song, it was once. The rest just makes it sound like you don't know the difference between someone providing a different take on a solo (within the structure mind you) and ****ing up and playing the wrong notes/chords.
