Yeah I want Richie back, sure. But I don't want a passionless boring Richie who is forced to be there or is doing it for the money. Phil brings that whole new, fresh side.

Say what you will about the quality of the shows, Richie's absence, etc., but it's hard to deny that, for what he's here for, Phil is doing a damn fine job filling in.
The shows sucks, it's because the absense of Richie, Jon looking like a statue in the stage, crappy vocal performance, crappy album... a lot of things, and I don't think it's Phil's fault, JUST TO BE CLEAR.

All I think it's that people are starting to acting like a dick forcing this vision of "OMG OMG Phil the best guitar player in the world, Phil nails every solo of every song and you're wrong!!!"

Honestly, **** you (not you TwinFan, the members of Backstage With Phil X).

I think some fans want Phil X to stay on and don't care if Richie comes back.
It seems like these same fans are just mad because it looked so bad the way Richie left the tour, and they are mad at him for not offering a clear reason as to why.

If Richie seemed distant from Jon during the first leg--and I don't know b/c I didn't see them up close --maybe Phil X is smiling more and seems happier to be onstage? Richie used to be fun and goofy years ago but maybe he doesn't do that much anymore and Phil X reminds the fans of how Richie used to act. Since I can't play guitar, I don't know if one is as good or better than the other but I do think that Richie offered more than just guitar to Bon Jovi--he also had that vocal with Jon that I think would be hard to match unless you've been singing together as long as they have.

I think the longer Richie stays away, the more some fans will take his time in Bon Jovi for granted and not miss him. The FB page already has lots of fans who are saying that, basically. I think it's sad b/c you put 30 years in and a lot of fans are like: "Oh, well. Moving on."

Richie was still funny, but Jon was not very receptive.

Now are not funny, they are just clowns smiling constantly. It's just another trick of Jon, as that speech before play "Wanted", or Phil X as "Brother Phil".

Why? Because people are praising Phil, the guy who's actually out there on the tour instead of gallivanting around the globe, jamming with fabric? Bottom line is that Richie isn't here right now, and Phil is doing a good job covering for him. That doesn't necessarily mean we don't want Richie back.

No one is denying that or debating that. Don't know what you're getting so worked up about. You said Phil messed up every show on the same songs, which is a lie, yet I called you up on that lie. You posted a mistake he made ONE time and said it happened every show, I gave you an example of how it would look like if it was the other way around. Obviously you couldn't defend your argument anymore and felt the need to change the subject to 30+ years and albums sold? Maybe something is getting lost in communication here, you could just say "yeah it's not every show, but I don't like his interpretations of the solos" which would be just fine. You're free to like and dislike whatever you like and dislike....

"Sometimes you tell the day by the bottle that you drink" sings Richie who then says "that's what I do"

"That''s what I did". I wouldn't think much of that, it was just an addlib on the fly. Still, it's nice to see him behind his double neck again, seems like a very under rehearsed performance, but in a cool way. Looks like he's enjoying himself
