Richies really gushing over GaGa, 20's, blond and petite - that's Richie. I guess I don't get it because I wouldn't call myself her fan, ok but never bought a thing.

Yeah, the headline is misleading but the article clears it up. They worded it like that for a reason.

i never would have expected this would be how they d celebrate their 30 years...kind ironic in many ways...

richie looks bad in almost every clip i ve seen him, only music can help him imo, all the fabric nick and rich stuff distract him...
its obviously time for a good break, maybe they d all appreciate what they have, richie handled the situation poorly, the other guys will probably be mad with him cause he always brings his daughter up etc etc like all the other guys dont have families as well...
time is a healer, they should all sit down and talk and jon should face his own mistakes because in a way he became doc mcghee the man he blamed for almost killing the band with the relentless touring album/promo cycles...jon should realise the are no longer a band, he may always be the leader but rock music is about chemistry and exchanging ideas, not chasing your last big hit with poor manufactured songs...
ps.jon said in an interview he isnt interested into making the best record because it would be hard to match live..and their experience with loap and all the high notes make them play it safe, they should enter the studio trying to make one last great album, not just an excuse to tour again

You're fighting a losing battle. It seems to be the favored form of amusement these days, finding humor at someone elses's expense. Richie didn't entertain them from the stage and he owes them. So by golly, they're going to get their entertainment from him one way or another!
