you are 100% right. Elvis (or at least his estate) made more money than when he was alive.
Would Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix be as well known if they were still alive.

I read that tweet a different way. It sounded like he was never going back to Bon Jovi
Icon in a couple of years? I thought he would be back with the band by then.

RS obviously suffers from the disease most people have, albeit on a different scale, of 'it's not enough.'

Most musicians would give anything to achieve what he has, but he seems unsatisfied being what he is, a co-writer of some of a generation's biggest hits, someone who has played in front of millions of fans, etc.

It seems it's not enough because he's not the top dog in the show.

It's the human condition. Same old song and dance.

Not gonna happen. I still think he doesn't want to ever return. He seems to have completely cut the band out of his life. He doesn#t even mention the band unless put on the spot about it by an interview.

The rest of the band have cut Richie out as well, as if he was never a member.

I still believe there was more truth in the falling out rumors than what Jon and Richie are both trying to sell to the media.

How refreshing, an article that doesn't spend a paragraph talking about RS not being with the band. Tico's body parts however, garnered a mention.

I actually think it's embarrassing that the only "hit" on the charts the band have had in recent years is a song that is 26 years old. That just reinforces their "has-been" status. Once again they're living on past glory.
Also the song didn't receive this new-found attention based on the strength of the song itself, but based on some guy making a fool of himself in public and people thinking it's funny enough to share.
I don't see how this is particularly flattering to the band, but people will spin it however they want to.

Lol, I know, top tour and #3 on the Forbes top musicians list (top rock act) is very embarrassing, total has beens.

They didn't hit 25 by people just watching the silly video.People thought it was funny enough to share, then they went and streamed or downloaded the song.

And my point really was that those girls were squealing about taking more than a month to get 100,000 views to make Richies video "viral" which it wasn't, at all.

Whether it is sad or not or they are has beens or not is besides the point being made.

The point made was that Richie had a viral "hit" with his song and it was watched about 100,000 times. It was pointed out that what is happening with Prayer is actually what having a viral success is.

Either way, are we forgetting that Richie is a massive part of Prayer, so he is having a viral hit too.
