Probably because it's a bad album.

IMO that provides a much more logical explanation of Richie’s actions than arbitrarily assuming that he underwent a total personality change, transforming suddenly from a committed and functional band member for the best part of 30 years into a total flake who had no respect for band, fans, friends, or responsibilities. It would also explain Jon’s lack of surprise when Paul told him that Richie wasn’t going to be in Calgary as well as the mixed messages and tap dancing around the reasons for Richie’s departure by both Richie and the band.
Yeah, you're probably right, but as I said earlier, it's the first time Jon (indirectly) mentions tensions/the need to sit down and talk. I would like to think that's a good thing...

Just thought we'd all take a break and relive what an amazing talent Richie was and still could be again....

Oh, I agree. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I've posted before that it's stunning to read interviews about the split in the 90s and see the similarities with what's happening now.

If it worked then...

Richie recorded in 2008 Great hall of Fame, her voice was amazing in that song, that was 5 years ago. He has to make another solo effort, I do not care where it is not sold, he has to do just to satisfy the musician within.

Minute 4:05 onwards is awesome. Best Richie since Stranger in this Town.

Ok...I admit that I like Rolo. If everyone else on this board can stick with their own dead horses, Rolo can too. Everyone else gets to repeat their opinions ad infinitum (and ad nauseam) and Rolo has that right. Use the ignore button if he irritates you.
