Really, really cannot see that happening unfortunately.

Fortunately the tickets have been paid for by family member, so not costing us anything, which is another reason we don't need to look for refund.

I will be going to my shows still. Jon seems to come out of his shell a bit more when he's not in his comfort zone so I am hoping for a great show still. I always find it's Jon in his good mood that make the shows anyway.

It will be my girlfriends first show too so we will just enjoy it for what it is. If it's a bad show, it's a bad show. We are in crappy seats anyway.

To be fair im vey suprised the ticket sales companies have allowed refunds due to the "guitarist" being absent......is it an instruction from the BON JOVI corparation head office ?. knowing how ticketmaster and other agencies work they will use any excuse NOT to give a refund.
I wont be asking for a refund for our MANCHESTER tickets as I still want to see the show, I am bitterly dissapointed that Richie isnt there and it will taint the show dramatically, especially WANTED etc etc, but I am a BON JOVI devotee and I know the CEO will be at his possible best for the show, he knows that a Manchester show is an important one in the tour (he says so on WWBTF). and that Dave and Tico will be there usual top of their game!!! and if its true about the stage being as shown in the pics, Im looking forward to it

Despite his latest tweet I am still let down by Richie, I dont give a shit about his personal matter, thats his business and I respect that, BUT he coould have came out and said "Im ok OK am still in the band me & Jon are fine and I will be back ASAP" etc etc, a long time ago, and put our minds somewhat more at ease with the situation.......I think Jon should have also said more than he has too......

I thought this ONLY worked for fanclub tickets? Does it work with standard, non-gold circle tickets as well?

Works for everyone, all tickets. Did you not see the official announcement, or the threads and posts on here?

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

For all of you so worried about whether Richie's still in the band, does it really matter? Will you ever buy a ticket for a Jovi show with the belief that he'll be there? If it matters to you that he be a part of the show, would you still feel comfortable buying one of those pricey tickets and then spending money on travel plans? After he's ditched shows for one reason or another (some known, some not and some more valid than others, from a fan's point of view) for three years in a row now, I think fans are more than entitled to stop and think.

Personally, I think loyalty is a two-way street.

And for those who say "What about the rest of the guys in the band?" - I saw 4 shows with Phil X in May 2011. (No refunds were offered then, and we had no solid statement confirming that Richie was really out for the whole leg.) I gave it a try - four actually. They weren't awful shows, but they weren't what I signed up for. And they certainly weren't something I was willing to spend all that money on. As I've said before, Phil X did a credible job for the most part, but he massacred Dry County, IMO. (And when that's your favorite song, that makes it a very big deal.) Most importantly, being able to play the music isn't the whole deal. There just wasn't any magic. It didn't "feel" like a Jovi show without Jon and Richie up there doing what they always do. Furthermore, without Richie to interact with and while "giving 100%" as so many people have said, Jon turned into someone who spent so much time flirting with fans and doling out kisses during Bed of Roses that I actually felt uncomfortable. (If that's 100%, I'll take whatever it is that he usually expends.) So unless Jovi is really Jovi - and how can I ever expect that it's going to be - I'm done. After coming home sky-high from the shows in Europe in 2011, I couldn't have imagined that I'd feel like this now.

Finally they made the right decision, or rather were forced to make it. Anyway, it’s great with have it. It was the only fair thing missing in this whole mess.

It’s also good that we have option for the refund until the day before the show. This gives some space for unexpected return. It seems Richie might come back any day and even BJ management doesn’t know it when. I will wait with the refund for Stockholm and Tampere till the very end and if he’s not back on few shows before them, I will ask for refund then. At least I have a choice now.

I will go to the show in my town though. If Richie’s not back by then, at least I will see that awesome stage and hopefully Jon will put on a great show (but please, don’t play Dry County with Phil X on stage). Still without Richie it won’t be the same for me, very far from even Ok to be honest, especially when you wait all your life for the first ever BJ show in your country and your fav member of the band is not there. But since I don’t have to travel at all for this one, I really have nothing to lose.

I did see the announcement from bj.com but does that include backstage tickets? My friend got the ticket for me - I haven't been a backstage member for a while so I can't follow the news there.

This. This right here. This is what I don't understand for the goddamn life of me. I could not possibly give 2 buckets of monkey piss about Richie's personal life or any business issues he has with Jon. But for the 2 of them to COMPLETELY leave fans of this band, who have been so supportive of them over the years, completely in the dark for this long, is absolute and complete BULLSHIT. Defend Richie, defend Jon, defend your son going to ballet school. I really don't give a shit. Both sides are wrong in how they've handled this with the fans. Unprofessional, disrespectful and childish. No excuses on either part.
