I'd rather have the option of seeing JBJ and friends than a postponed tour that might never get rescheduled.
Fully agree.
Lets be honest 90% of the audience are there for JBJ. He cancels and walks out and it's over. You've seen the lull when RS sings as it normally mean toilet and beer break.
It's a shame RS isn't there but the show can go on.

Phil X has been Tweeting/Instagramming about his long flight to London and onwards to Cape Town. That's about as much confirmation as I need to know that he is replacing Richie for Europe...

It's live music. it's a show, and Richie Sambora is essential for many fans. Don't want to see a show without Richie Sambora, because is no longer a Bon Jovi show.

If you don't understand that, then you are another stupid girl.
Lovely.

You actually sound like a spoilt brat, of course we all wanna see a full band show but that's not going to happen. We have a guitar player who has constantly dropped out of shows, if I had tickets for a full band show in a years time I'd be about 50% confident RS would be there. I guarantee they would have 100x more disgruntled fans if all this summers shows were dropped. Instead we have a select group of Richie fans that absolve Richie of any blame whatsoever and blame "evil CEO Jon" for everything.

I Don't blame anyone. But that does not change the fact that a Bon Jovi show, without Richie Sambora not fun.

Richie says are "personal issues", no one else should know, even Matt, JBJ, Tico, David and Bobby have stated.

Obama should make a statement about this.

Not me. I'd rather a postponed show with Richie any day of the week.

What else can be done? Honesty. Come on. Jon knows whether or not Richie will be back. Jesus, he's the CEO of one of the biggest bands in the world. Do you honestly think he has no idea when or if his guitarist of 30 years will be coming back to the band?

In the BJ forum, an "in the loop" poster, suggests Richies timing in "having it done now" has caused the rift. If he needed some "personal" surgery, that was required, but not urgent, everyone in the loop is questioning his timing in going ahead with it mid tour and at very short notice!

This would explain the exasperation, and lack of announcement. If I was Jon I'd be pissed off if this was the case. No wonder they may not be talking.

It's likely the band and management will never make any official statement regarding this affair, expecting Richie to explain, and accept the undoubted ton of flak from disappointed fans. Given that his decision could have been taken at an emotional low point, he may now be recuperating whilst regretting his actions.

The latest announcement regarding refunds, may be a move by the CEO or the promoters, to establish how damaging Richies decision has been to ticket sales. If lawyers are involved they will likely need to quantify the damage done by any non-essential no show on Richies part. Whether Richie alone, or the BJ band as a whole are ultimately financially responsible will be interesting to see.

After the recent Ask Richie session which he managed to balls up as he answered something which caused a stir in the whole BJ camp, I guess he now needs lessons in how to handle the media/social networking sites....

Damn, I've saved myself a lot of money thanks to this mess!
