You're a sad troll. And an unfunny one at that.

From clips showing his own band, PhilX actually holds back on the Bon Jovi stage. Which is why when/if Richie comes back, I'd like The Drills to be an opening act--a real rock band plus PhilX is picking up his own followers the longer this goes on. Bon Jovi with few exceptions usually has crap opening acts (when they have them). It is nice to give locals a large venue to play but my guess it is an easy out as those bands would play for cheap if not free.

I don't know how you can be bothered trying to get attention from things you don't even mean.

Might be a bit awkward backstage if Phil X and Richie were both there though.

I must say the funniest thing about this debacle has been the reference to U2's guitarist The Edge.

One would think that after 30-something years in music Jon Bon Jovi could tell a good guitarist apart from.... well, The Edge. That's the best one he could think of??? I doubt anyone would notice The Edge missing from a U2 tour if Phil X filled in for him (they both have an equally silly name).

I know U2 very well and I really like most of their stuff but as a guitarist, I've never heard of anyone who looks up to The Edge as a guitar icon! He and Bono are certainly good writers and that's where they're respected the most, but I'd put Richie over The Edge any day as far as pure skill goes. Songwriting, that's a different topic, but they are also two genres worlds apart.

Maybe Jon picked a pop guitarist on purpose just to make the sting hurt that much more. In the end, Jon should look at himself before talking about Richie. He's becoming Gene Simmons in sense that he is still making his living off "Prayer" and other classics while his newest CD's are mostly just fillers for 99 cent bins around the world. I know Richie co-wrote some of the garbage on the latest album, but we all know they can do better if they actually wanted to make music for the sake of making music.
