Jon was interviewed by a Portuguese music newspaper.

http://blitz.sapo.pt/bon-jovi-elogia...ortugal=f87841

He basically says he loved the Portuguese crowd, especially in 2011. Perhaps because it was the last gig on the tour. He then says he hopes Richie comes back and stresses again that he was NOT fired from the band nor is he angry at him. In fact, he even says he 'loves him'. The interviewer asks him about the stuff Richie's been saying to the tabloids and Jon says:

"sim, que eu quero os estádios cheios só para mim... Eu não estou zangado. Não quero falar mais sobre isso".

Translation: 'Yeah he says I want to fill stadiums by myself... I'm not angry. I don't want to talk about it anymore'.

So yeah, he's pretty much aware of all the gibberish Richie's been raving about over the past few weeks and YET he insists he's 'not angry'. My theory ? he must have said something really nasty to Richie and he feels he can't be angry about anything Richie says now as a way to redeem himself.

any theory is as good as the next until it can be disproven....there's no need for that. We've come to realise how angry you are, but fact is that none of us knows what has happened or why. Until we do, there's no need to be hostile. I guess you're not 10 years old either, but that reaction from you then was like something that would come from an early teenager. But maybe you are, and all I can say then is that this phase will pass...

And lay off the botox and visits to his plastic surgeon. He is the only member of the band NOT aging gracefully.

Default In praise of Phil Xenidis

First things first, i am as bummed as everyone by Richie missing such a big chunk of the tour and “my” concert in Milan. Moreover, i fully agree that he has been a quintessential part of BJ. Possibly without him the band wouldn’t have reached such heights. I don’t know that for sure, no one does. What we know is that he has been a pillar of the band and we all love him for that. Enough to forgive him for many ****-ups.

That being said, i have grown to really like the whole “Phil X” persona. He has stepped in very heavy shoes with a lot of humility. Has engaged with fans each time he has had the chance and seemingly, judging by his social media activity, he is having a blast and loving every minute of it.

Technically speaking, he is obviously not phoning it in (a sin Richie has commited more often than not in the last few tours) and even if he is no Sambora he is bringing his own recipe to the table and actually adding something that was maybe missing lately. I like his enthusiasm and the bs free attitude and his guitar playing is good enough to let us enjoy the show anyway.

To add to the above, this is going on while Richie has bailed on the tour to take care of “business” with that Paris Hilton-lite while not saying once he was sorry or whatever and playing the good dad for the press.

I will be sorry to miss him in Milan but i will make sure to support Phil as much as i can. He is going to be there, after all, with the rest of the guys while Sambora lives it large in LA without a care in the world for the people who gave him all that in the first place. Ourselves.

Just to keep the crazy going... if it is true that Richie said Jon wanted to fill stadiums by himself, maybe that's coming from RICHIE's perspective and not Jon's since Richie couldn't fill small theaters by himself. Maybe he's got a mental issue over how poorly his album and tour sold in North America. Maybe it bothers him more than we know that his solo material is so poorly received.

If you want to blame someone, blame Jon and his ego

Stranger in this Town & Undiscovered Soul weren´t chart-smashers either. He should get used to it by now...
