We know Richie left. He wasn't kicked out. So the quote doesn't make a whole lot of common sense. (Which is why, if it's true that he said it, I think Richie may have a mental problem/ego problem/depression/whatever.)

you forget the attack made ​​on Richie, compared with the edge to be replaceable, despising his talent as a guitarist and composer.
