Many of my college friends and peers that went to the shows only went to to the shows to hear Jon sing and shake his ass and want a hit heavy setlist that they can sing along too. I'm pretty convinced if I were to ask them anyone else's name in the band besides Jon, I would not get an answer. Everyone else seems to roll their eyes at Bon Jovi and not take them seriously muscially. So I can't really find anyone my age that can share my enthusiasm over the band that lives near me.

It is really only Jon & Richie a load know though because you hardly ever see Tico & David or even Hugh for that matter at interviews.

I understand that but I'm pretty sure they don't even know Richie. And a few of these girls claim to be huge fans. How can you be huge fans of a band you only know the lead singer's name and in this band, it's not very hard to remember the lead singer's name.

i to no how you feel, when i 1st saw them headline on slippery tour and jersey tour these guys were the biggest thing since sliced bread, larger than life it self, jon was god and was known as "the big rock star" from the biggest band in the world. I remember at the nec in birmingham on jersey tour they had this huge cat walk the size of the arena which lowered down from the ceiling and seeing jon, alec, and richie in arms length and looking me in the eye and pumpin their fists at me was ****in amazing, its just a shame its not 1988 all over again,just for the stage shows. absoulutley amazing, just glad i got to see them in the early days as well. As jon once quoted " still the badest band in the world"

That's why I'm on this board (even though it's far from my first show). At least here, people will understand about a special setlist or even a lousy show.

I'm sure I've been boring people to death lately saying - guess what got played at todays show? Most people I know don't get the rock concert thing at all. Engineers are supposed to be more serious than that (or something). I'm fortunate in that my husband "gets" it so I can talk to him about setlists.

So - if that first show just blows you away - make it a point to meet some Jovi friends (this board is certainly a good starting point) - and then your second show can be with friends of your choosing.

Best of all though - have a blast at your first show.

I don't think i would ever feel comfortable meeting people from a forum.
So many weirdos are on the internet nowadays it's horrible.
I know my brother has met a few from here, but i can't see myself doing that tbh.
