Its true few of my mates can understand why I fork out all this money to see the same show (no matter how much I say it isnt the same). I had a conversation with my boss at work about it, I was reasoning with him telling him that going to see BJ was combined with seeing cities I might never have been to, not just about seeign the show. So he says where you off next then, Isaid ermmmm....Manchester, he laughed his head off at me!!

Well ive only been a fan about a year and a half, but i know how you must feel. It must be simalar too me except like 100x. I am so exited, tommorow is my last exam then its smooth going till jovi .

Yeah I never like the idea of meeting people over the internet, even though everybody off here is really cool.

I've met a couple people off the internet. One became my boyfriend of 2 years. The other is someone I, um, let's say...see sometimes. Haha. Then there's many others, I've been online friends with for months/years, that we're like "we HAVE to meet up eventually, it's been forever" It's sensible to be careful though. And at your age esp. (not trying to patronise, just saying) The second guy I met off the net, was kind of risky. Had known his for just a few months, and he was actually like "let met come round, I'll bring a drink and DVD" on the spur of the moment, as he's in the same town. And I thought about it, and took the risk. He actually just came and stayed at my house, while my mum was on holiday, and nobody was in. That was only a few weeks ago. A bit silly maybe, but hey...I'm alive.

And this board is a whole different story, really. If you were to meet-up with more than one at a time, a group, and in public. It's a lot less likely they will murder you. Plus you gotta remember, lots of people have already met each other off here. I would be a bit scared about meetin certain members, though. Just because of things I may have said to them before.

Sorry to go on one of my famous rants.

I have met quite a few people from this place - several have actually travelled to New Jersey and stayed with me. Perhaps I've been lucky but so far - I have never had a bad experience. I have met some fantastic people through this board.

I certainly know people that have had bad experiences though. The easiest and safest thing to do is to arrange to meet somewhere very public - a coffeeshop - a bar etc. That way if you don't hit it off or something bothers you about the person they aren't at your house - or you're not at their house.

Also - lots of people on this board have met others from here and made friends. Ask people by pm - and they can tell you who is "safe" and who might be a pain in the ass. Kev has met damn near everybody - he is a good source of information.

Yeah. I was like "....what am I doing here?!" But I was in a really good mood. Hyper, slightly tipsy, and had a kickass night already. Not something I'd do everyday. But it was fine..very fine.
