I do know how you feel though. I talked a bit about this with my friends and wondered why people accept other people following the Stones through Europe, but don't understand it when it's Bon Jovi. It's not like the Stones have written deep songs that mean a lot, and with Bon Jovi being on fire like they are right now they're giving away a better show than the Stones did last time I saw them.
My mum and dad understand it now that I get all happy when I talk about a certain show or a certain song being played. When my dad picked me up after the show in Amsterdam and I told him that "Stick To Your Guns was played!" he was still a bit like "oooh Stick To Your Guns...yeah whatever" but was happy it was played. I always compare it to McCartney, of which he is a big fan. "Imagine that McCartney plays song x, that's sort of the same. And then they understand.

Haha. Maybe I do, maybe I don't....you'd have to find that out for yourself hey.
Good. I'm glad you understand. I think that's the thing, though. My mum doesn't really have a band/artist, that she's crazy about. She LOVES music, but not so much a specific artist that I could compare it with for her. As I pointed out, my sister used to be a big Jovi fan back in the day. Not anymore really. But she's a huge U2 fan (your favourite band

...), so if I compared to her she could try to understand. But I know in her eyes, U2 are miles better, so she'd still probably think "it's just Bon Jovi"

I miss those days where she loved them! My brother is a massive Pink Floyd fan, but again he'd probably think "it's just Bon Jovi". I don't think they understand, this has been the dream for years.
Like I said, I want to take my mum, and she will enjoy it I'm sure. But I have nobody offline, that I can be like ".....I'm ACTUALLY seeing Bon Jovi." and they quite understand. Nobody that I can just look at, when a certain amazing song (hopefully!!) had started to play. And they understand, and we can be like ".........wow...they are playing this song" So next time, I need to go with some/a few fellow JT'ers.

Atlough, hopefully there will be other die-hards around me that I'll get talking to, this time.
