Thanks for the info. Sounds logical.

As you probably know, the National Touring promoters have lost significant sums of money on their summer open air venue tour legs the last four years. Each year gets worse as to losses for veteran acts like Bon Jovi. Be interesting to see what AEG Live, and the other major promoters do this year.

I’m sure they need BJ to do open air (OA) venues this summer to hold up revenues. But for many OA venues they will probably make BJ go the “value added package” route, where BJ shortens their setlist and the promoters have 2-3 additional bands on the bill that appeal to the teenagers. For some OA venues, the last two years, the promoters have even been giving food vouchers with every paid ticket to help fill “on the grass” sections.

Obviously, venues like Giants Stadium this summer BJ can fill without promoter incentives. But other OA summer venues, with this tour’s high ticket prices can be real problematic, particularly if the U.S. breaks another heat record this summer.

Hell, I was just at a show 24 hours ago and I can't wait for the summer.

I think I may have spoken poorly in my post. They are not considering doing 17 more stadiums, they are reviewing offers/proposals for 17 more dates/places etc. I would say a second Giants Stadium show is alot more likely than Mexico City at this point. I can't imagine they would do all of them. If I had to guess I would say they will doa bout half of the dates still under consideration.

Is Detroit a good guess for a stadium show? Anyone think there is a chance of them stopping there? Atleast I hope so!
