Honestly, I wouldn't get my hopes up about Rumba. I feel bad that you are missing out on seeing them but the sad truth is the reality is the band can't play everywhere.

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Something is going down in the BJ camp I think. That is the feeling going around at the moment.
They pulled out on the OZ tour after it was 99% confirmed, Hull was a terrible show and that was all in the same day.
They had worked out pretty much everything for the Oz and New Zealand tour then bam out of nowhere a very blunt email saying no more dates this year. One of the promotors said that he was shocked and surprised on why they pulled out so suddenly.

Yea, I know that Australia pretty much seemed like a done deal at least for two shows. Seems very odd. There's definitely more to this story and I guess we'll never know what truly happened.

Maybe whatever is keeping them from going to Australia is what had Jon upset at the Hull show? I doubt we'll ever hear what is going on. I hope they can work out some shows for Australia soon.

Maybe it will be a small consolation to the Australian fans, to know this isn't the first time tour dates have been "almost confirmed" only to be changed. I remember very clearly that in 1992 BACKSTAGE published some tentative tour dates for the KTF tour. It was going to start in Pensacola, Florida and there was a Mississippi (which they misspelled Missippi) show on the list. It doesn't get much more nearly official than that! I understand how disappointing it is. I hope no one will take it personally, like that the guys don't like your country. I think sometimes people who know a little something let out too much information out too early.

NZ was on the radar too?

This is an even bigger bummer than I thought.

I know! I told a few people at work today that they were planning to come to NZ and then when I told of the change they were disappointed!

They don't sell many records down here but they are still surpringly popular and whenever LOAP is played at a pub here all you can hear are people singing their hearts out!

What exactly was said anyway? I had no idea everything was pretty much a done deal.
