Always sounds so rough.

Setlist aside - they cant be as diverse as they would like due to lack of Richie - the shows have been pretty darn good.

Its the usual moaners that are bringing things down. In my humble opinion.
Diverse is one thing, playing the almost same set two nights in a row in the same city is another. Phil knows enough songs that they could have switched out the non hits and had wo very different shows.

Wonder if Richie gets a commemorative scarf?

Just listened to always and dry county. Jon sounds like shit. He is a younger version of Bobby one note Bandiera. He only hits one note during the songs nowadays. Sad but true.

i know, or at least hope that jon places higher richie and aknowledges his contribution but how come he gives bobby so much space? why he hired phil x for a band recording???
Maybe, just maybe Richie had no interest in recording those songs anymore, and the rest of the band had no problem with another guitarist playing on them. Maybe Richie's lack of dedication towards Bon Jovi is what eventually lead to him leaving the tour, and he's not welcome back unless he can actually get himself motivated enough to be a full time member, as opposed to being fully occupied with his tanked solo record, flopped solo tour, and his bombing clothing line. Maybe, just maybe the problem is Richie, really, and not Jon, who keeps things going because that's what the rest of the team actually wants.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think it is apparent that it is a Richie issue and frankly at this point I don't care if he ever comes back. Go jam with fabric.

BON JOVI is on tour and Richie is an original member and an integral part of why we're on this message board to begin with. Alcohol? a damn shame. Personal "issues"? Not for me to judge. But at this point RS is just fine and playing at a damn horse race. Its a slap in the face to every one that paid to see BON JOVI (the band) in concert.

Not everybody is on these message boards, but casuals that went to a show yesterday went to see the band and say "Where's Richie Sambora?" and wake up today to find out he played at a horse race, alone.

Blame whoever you want for this, in my mind at this point there's no justifiable reason for him to miss this tour. When he was in complete silence that's one thing, this is another. He's clearly fine. When this broke everybody was worried about his health and his family's health.

It's been said before, there's a Bon Jovi world tour going on and he isnt there, unless they give me a damn good reason why its a slap in the face to the fans.

Here are the facts, RS isnt on tour. The band is, and Richie is playing a horse race. Forgive me for being upset.
This.

On the point of the setlists being relatively static, Phil played Dry County the first time he covered for Richie. Don't tell me he can't learn other songs from the band's catalogue.

Yep. Lost Highway and Whole lot of leaving two nights in a row? He knows Radio, He knows Living in Sin, he knows an assortment of Circle songs, he knows Hey God, he knows plenty of singles that might not have charted well but still did better than an album cut from Lost Highway. I don't buy the "well Phil can only learn so much" card. It's not about that, it's about Jon not switching the songs around for two nights in the same city.

maybe you are partially right, they have both handle it poorly but maybe richie isnt so passionate because he feels heisnt appreciated...why should jon have someone like bobby butcher the in these arms solo night after night...every tour bobby takes more responsibilities...first it was in these arms, now its the final ktf solo jam, the jukebox session in bm or swid, the water made me finale solo...and all these before richie left...
i am not a richie fan boy, he keeps making bad choises all the time, but the band isnt healthy, in fact maybe this argument anf fight is the healthiest thing that happened to them...the guitarist should bring riffs and licks not trying to keep the ceo happy...and jon should try to keep everyone happy and not have an attitude my way or the highway...
