No. I don't want another slow down version of a song with Jon on acoustic. I want 'Always' original or nothing.

I do too. But in a live arena setting it dragged me down hard.

I remember the days of 2000-2008 when we never thought Always would be played again. Whenever I went to shows when people asked about it, the response was "They don't play it anymore" Then they played the godawful HAND version at Milton Keynes in 2006 so the hope was there, and it returned in '08. It's a shame this tour's performances are so bad, but it doesn't notice as much when you are at the show and I'd take that song over pretty much anything else.

Always was played during the One Wild Night tour, and then returned during the HAND tour with the TLFR version. So technically was only omitted from the Bounce tour.

It was played during the Bounce tour but only a few times. So technically...

I love Always live. It is the song I most hope to hear at their shows. I've said this here a few times before, but the performance in Nashville earlier this year was solid. Miles better than this last U.S. Leg. I do not care for the TLFR version, but I wouldn't mind if he tried to alter it a bit to make it more manageable. Anything to keep it in the show.

BTW, that version from Cologne was outstanding!

It was only played a few times during the Bounce tour, and I was lucky enough to hear it in Albany. It was right after David's father died and Jon dedicated the song to him. If I recall it sounded pretty damn good.
