Sentimental people falling for that bullshit. It's been done like that for years now. A "dramatic pause" to pretend there's some deeper meaning to the applause they're getting after Wanted. I can't believe after 10 years of predictable and cheesy speeches people actually believe anything sincere or heartfelt will come out of Jon's mouth.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Last time? I do not understand, on November 20, playing in Philadelphia.

A little harsh, but exactly right. He does this every night: the speech before Wanted, soaking up the applause at the end. It's the schtick.

I can't believe I went to Europe with the hope of hearing NSG, not hear it and see they play the song at a show less than 2 hours from me.

That being said, I'm still glad I didn't go to Montreal last night.

Your first sentence kinda makes me wonder about the truthfulness of the second one

It's twisted logic, I know. But I don't think that one song would have "saved" the show for me.

Never Say Goodbye:

He should do the whole song every night, just JBJ and his acoustic guitar. Much easier than Always.

Reminds me of when i saw Bryan Adams and he ended the show with a 2nd encore singing Straight From the Heart alone with just a guitar.

Been hoping for something like this for years... just to obvious for the CEO, Hear the crowd? Such a shame.

you'd be surprised.
For a long time, I'd come on here and criticize the sets and the lack of change, etc.
but yesterday, I finally understood how actually being there has nothing to do with a set on paper or youtube videos.
I can't quite explain why, but I usually get to relive my fav. live moments on youtube, but there's something about the atmosphere I witness everytime in MTL that videos never quite capture.
For example, yesterday, 20 minutes before showtime, people stood up to clap and sing to the song on the PA....

The sheer power of certains songs in a live setting of that sort gets me every time.
But then again, people sitting behind their computers must obviously know better.

Anyways, I guess I've simply outgrown this website, which I've been following for over 12 years. Only recently have I realized that reading the constant negativity has ruined bon jovi for me.

Yesterday, I saw a band on fire and no setlist on paper or videos can do justice to what I witnessed (mostly the 2nd half).
Have I seen better BJ shows? hell yeah, but this morning, I woke up and my ears were still ringing from the crowd last night.

Like I've said before, in my tiny review of the show. I had a blast, and I'm sure that the fact I didn't watch any youtube videos, read any setlists or followed this board beforehand helped alot.
