And the show with the return of the TLFR songs, because Jeff Kazee knows them all by heart as he was there when they rehearsed them for the HAND tour. You'll get something rare after all, awesome!

Salaam Aleikum,

I would like to remind all of you that Jeff is just as accomplished on the keys as David is. He also has an excellent voice (as does David) and he will fit in perfectly. He played with them on the entire HAND tour so he knows most ALL the songs - not just the TLFR album. Not to mention that he played on the fanclub album in 2009 where he played a bunch a rarities.

Yes Thierry - he even played Runaway - go listen to the fanclub album and tell me how much Jeff sucks

If you are lucky, you go on the stage, get it and say thanks to you mother, father and the people that helped you with your project and that's all... Rock and roll shows instead of this would be my choice. Interesting that all of the Americans who won't be there at the show are very fine with that. I'd be interested how happy would you be if the Tony's were on May, 29.

And I hate those statements that David is not that importants. He is important. He is a member of the band. Listen to some of the shows from Jon's solo tour in 1997 and 1998 - the keyboards are far from what it should be. I don't see why people need to make lists of importance of the members. All of them are important.
If the date in question were May 29, I would still think it was right that David attend the Tony Awards. Whether he wins or not, it is a very big deal for a rock musician to be nominated for his work on his first musical to make it to Broadway. The show is terrific, and David should have his moment in the spotlight. The show has been nominated for other awards from other groups, and there's been no mention of David going to those presentations. The Tonys are THE biggie, and I think it's great that Jon/the band/Jovi management/whoever is making it possible for him to attend. I can't imagine the substitute will be anyone other than Jeff Kazee, and he's exceedingly qualified. (BTW, Kazee was on the keys at the fan club show last February when we all expected a hits show . . . and got the farthest thing from it!)

EDIT - I was writing this reply while Kathleen posted hers. I see that we had a lot of the same thoughts.

I mean - everyone is ok with David sitting at awards shows instead of playing with the band, and all of those people are those who will not attend the show.

Nothing against Jeff at all, maybe he knows how to play keyboards better than Bobby guitar (just teasing )

I wish David his success, I also like his musicials. however, I find all of those award shows utterly boring, snobish and embarassing. I don't know Tony's but I don't expect anything mindblowing. Hopefully he will win something so his absence would have some sense

I think maybe people are forgetting that for David, this is the first time in his professional life that he is potentially going to be awarded something that has nothing to do with Bon Jovi, Jon etc.... this is something he created. I think it's very cool that Jon said "Go to the Tony's". Jeff is an accomplished keyboardist, hell, you might even get something different and cool because he's there.
If it was my show would I be upset at no Dave??? Only if it was a surprise that he wasn't there and I didn't know why he was missing. Since you know both.......

Are you talking about the Razzies???

No this is the Tony awards. They are the live theaters equivilent to the movies Oscars. It's a huge deal and for his first show on Broadway to get 8 nominations and 2 for him personally, is a very big deal in the theater world. It could provide alot of future opportunities for David and his partner Joe in this world.

FYI, thi s show has done and is doing very well on Broadway.
