I think as jovi fans we are spoilt.

Yes. My friend was shocked when I told her the set was usually different each night. She actually asked the question.

same here .. .people are shocked they cahnge it every night and then give examples of other bands that dont, its the same songs every night...

So we are lucky and spoilt compared to other fans.

yeah whenever i tell anyone i went to loads of shows, they just say that must be dull same songs every night...just a sigh needed there :P.

I think a night of rare songs would definately have people clammering for tickets but Jon would not risk it in a million years, hence the 'we'll play an album right through' fell on it's arse.

My personal feeling is that it is pretty poor to have played Superman and LTOR less times than Pretty Woman but hey, Jon has 27 years in this business and I play in pubs...

One thing that has mystified me is this;

The PR for the band missed SO many tricks while the band were static for 3 weeks. Normally, they are never in one place long enough to do press but why no Jonathan Ross slot? Why no Graham Norton slot? I could go on but you get the picture.

It would have been especially effective when the tickets dropped in price as you get the band on JR on a Friday, banging out Superman and Prayer and those few spare seats on Saturday night would have been snaffled up by some casual fans happy to pay 50 quid to see some classic tunes. Who knows, the band may have even made some new friends out of it who would come along to the next tour. I'm no PR man but it seems pretty basic to me that this goes down as a bollock dropped on the part of the record company.

Was staple far, far too long. Became massively overplayed.
