Umm... What "near fatal" happened in 1998? I thought the "near fatal" was a reference to the parasite he caught in 1991. The finger thing was never life threatning.

Hah, I completely misunderstood what was being talked about. I was so confused how the finger incident compares but the parasite would make far more sense. Never mind me.

I think I would have preferred Room at the End of the World, as Thick as Thieves has never been a favorite of mine. But watching that performance, it's not so bad.
