If it had not happened before I wouldn't want a refund. But I splurged on tickets wanting to see the FULL band. Which includes Richie. That's what I paid for, but it's not what I'm getting. You can't advertise something and deliver different. Once I can live with, but not again without some sort of compensation offer. That's just BS. But yes I do feel for Richie and really hope things aren't as bad as they sound, but I don't like the venues / band thinking this is acceptable another time around without some kind of offer at this point.

So do I. I had Richie tickets to San Francisco and that was cancelled. Now my two shows in Vegas and San Jose won't have Richie.

Just got home from the show.

I have mixed feelings. Jon was definitely on fire, but I feel like Calgary (and maybe other Canadian cities) keep getting shortchanged. I watched the Cleveland show online and I've peeked at setlists of various shows. Richie not being there should mean more, not 6 songs less than the Cleveland concert. On its own it was a great show but when you have seen them multiple times and know what a great BJ show is, it was dissapointing. When they finally played here in 2007 for the first time in 15 years it was 2 hours and done, the Circle tour show was basically Lost Highway for the third time, and now this show... no surprises. Nothing from These Days of course. No Always, no Amen, no Blood on Blood. But hey we got to see We've Got It Going On again. Ugh.

Yeah may sum up more thoughts later. I'm torn because they have been my favourite band for over 20 years and live are like no one else, but the $1600 VIP tickets (hell I paid $229 per plus the fan club to make sure I got good seats) counterbalances my love of the band. I'm conflicted.

Richie slowly taking the shape of a unicorn is breaking my heart. I really hope this is out of his control completely. I'd be a little less upset about it.

I guess I won't say too much since we don't know the reason but I got to say that I feel destroyed. After years of being a fan, money & time finally came together and I am about to see my first Jovi concert in Vegas. I live in the arctic and the cost of the plane tickets, hotel and the concert ticket (not top tier but still expensive) is an big f**king deal in my life. Plus arranging time from work which was tricky. I didn't even want to go to Vegas, I kept waiting for a Vancouver or Seattle show to be announced but the organization believes it is best to dribble out the dates. And now Richie is MIA. I had bought ticket insurance but I don't think it covers a band member being absent. {{{{sigh}}}

When you are ready, I would love to hear your view of the show. Richie not being there, withstanding but the show in general. How was the set, mood, band?

Cheers!
