Since LH, is my least favorite album, I was disappointed there were 4 songs played from it.
I was in the 6th row, lower level directly across from the stage(just to the right of the sound board). The band worked hard to keep the crowd into the concert. I wouldn't say they lost the crowd, but I didn't "feel" electricity in the arena like Greensboro, NC in 2008. I think if prayer had been in the main set instead of the last song it would have made a difference.
I almost thought they would do a second encore, b/c Jon seemed like he didn't want to leave the stage.
Terri, I wished we could have met for a pre-concert drink, and sorry to hear your drive from Nashville was the pits.
I did meet Deb(bjcrazycpa) at the concert. Kinda cool meeting someone from here.

I love the way the same shows affect people so differently. I'm not slagging your opinion one bit by disagreeing with you here, but I was at the Greensboro show in 2008 and I did have a good time, but didn't feel much magic in the air. I felt much more into this show. And to the guy talking about not seeing them in their prime... that's all based on opinions. When I watch 80s shows I think, wow, they have lots of energy, but damn they're sloppy. They're playing that way too fast, did they just speed up? Etc. Yeah, Jon had more range, but as a musician I certainly didn't see a tighter band in the 80s. In the 90s, yeah, from video alone, which is all I can go on, that was my favorite era. But I believe they are killer now and it's gonna be tough for any show to top what I witnessed in Charlotte this week. I've seen a lot of bands, including Aerosmith, Metallica, Poison (get well Bret, seriously!), U2, Goo Goo Dolls, OLP, Kelly Clarkson, Creed, Nickelback, Fuel, ACDC and god... so many others.
