Exactly... an honest review from someone who is not a fan but had no prejudice towards the band at all... and he wasn't impressed. These are the people Bon Jovi used to convert in their hundreds every night, over a tour.

Times have changed.

Possibly because he would have liked the songs more...but I can't imagine had he gone to a show on anything post the NJ tour that he would have come away loving them either. I was converted on the 7800 tour but I also liked the songs, this guy only liked Bad Name (which wouldn't have been my convert song, lol) so I'm not so sure even with EXACTLY the show, seat, atmosphere he wanted he'd come away converted. But, does his review is just that, his review.

The Keep The Faith and These Days tour converted a lot of people here in Argentina, they were massive. Saying 1988 is unfair to the band!

Judging from my experiences with Bon Jovi shows in America I think it's fair to say that most people seeing the shows over there are exactly there for the same reasons he is, the hits from the eighties plus maybe It's My Life and Who Says. There's not many that know the words to Sleep or Keep The Faith, let alone care for the new stuff. Would he have gone to any show from the New Jersey tour chances are a lot bigger of him pretty much hearing all the hits from eighties, as opposed to the 6 they play every night.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

What exactly does an $1800 ticket get you?

I thought it was a good show. Phil does a nice job, but it's not the same without Richie. I've seen them live twice this tour with Phil, and would do so again if I had no choice, but it's time for Richie to come back. It was sad watching Jon hold up his guitar alone after Wanted, and sad watching just Jon, Tico and Dave take a bow together.
It was both interesting and telling that Jon did leave the stage first at the very end. Has anyone seen that happen, before? Also agree with you completely, on everything.

He was the last one to leave before the first (and maybe even second encore) but was the first one to leave at the very end. Haven't seen that happen before. The whole show was weird.
