That pretty much sums it up for me too. I was not expecting to be blown away by this song - or the production - and I very much was taken by surprise. I also can't wait to hear and see it again.

Thanks for the answers but there is still the one about Happy Now - is it really piano playing the melody before Jon starts singing? IF so, can you guess why?

My guess would be that the Dave's keyboard overpowers Bobby's guitar in much the same way that It overpowered Jon's guitar when the band played I believe in '93.

But probably Bobby's just playing the chords along with Richie and leaving the melody lines for Dave, it sounds great like that I don't understand why you're nitpicking the songs like that....

Because the keyboards are very quiet in the mix and therefore the melody couldn't be heard that well. And because I don't understand why is it played this way when on the album is it different (different instrument), I'd understand it if there was just Richie but when they have a second guitarist, I don't get it. I thought he would bring something to the music but it didn't happen (for five years), he just there to fill the sound with something which was done by Dave previously (see the interview from Berlin). But I don't want to rant about Bobby over and over, it is still the same. I was just interested in this and wanted to ask. Happy Now is the best song of The Circle for me, that's why I care. Is bad to aks when something is not clear to me?

It's not that its a bad thing or not, I don't really judge posts that way. It's just that Bon Jovi consistently do not play stuff the same way that it's on the album, Jon sings this or that in a different way, Dave takes over guitar melody lines in everyday, bounce, WWBTF, Happy Now, IML and so forth. It's little bits and pieces but it's never the exact same way... Nitpicking live performances like that can prevent you from enjoying it, even if it's a great performance (which is what they have been delivering with Happy Now.
