Oh well... we all knew it was just a matter of time before Summertime would begin to appear on the setlists again -.-

I like HAND being in the encore (or anywhere for that matter), but the rest is just kind of bleh.

Too bring back "Summertime" is an odd choice, when they could have played "I'd Die For You" or "Hey God" - or something new. I know it's a fun song, and I don't mind it on the album, but it's the kind of song that should not be performed too much, especially after the LH tour finished.
It took the space of a new song - that's really weird. Only 4 songs from "The Circle"??? When did they ever perform that few new songs? They could've at least done "Thorn In My Side". "Bullet" would've been nice too. I've always admired them for being brave to play a lot of new songs. Jon's mind seems to be stuck in the LH tour though.
Thinking of how many rarities they played on the first dates, these sets disappoint even more. Though I'm willing to agree that the shows itself are really good on their own.

Ok, the good parts:

"Love For Sale" - yay! An upbeat acoustic song, and especially this is always welcome. Let's hope they will remember how well received "Stick To Your Guns" was in Amsterdam and bring it back.

"Saturday Night" electric is always welcome too. Should be a staple.

"HAND" - should be played every night instead of "Who Says".

"Runaway" is a good set closer. It never really worked in the first half of the set, for me it has always been a classical encore song. Maybe that comes from a bootleg of Bremen 1995 night 2, where it closed the encore, but was then followed by a spontaneous rendition of "I'll Be There For You", and both was magic. One might doubt that it really works after the climax of "Prayer", but I guess so. I wouldn't mind at least.

I would have enjoyed that setlist if I'd been there, I'm sure, but still would leave with a certain disappointment. And that would not be about the band's performance, but their state of mind, for making some weird song choices while forgetting the ones that made me a fan and still thinking they delivered a satisfying set. Yeah I guess that bugs me the most: That they are satisfied with this mediocre set.

... oh, and I don't mind "Shout" at all. It's classic.

Maybe I should just do the set lists from now on. I will email Jon on the morning etc so they have time to prepare.

You can say what you like about the performance being great.

It SHOULD be great when they play the same songs every night. It's as simple as that.

Play something more adventurous, man. Even if it's just one new 'Circle' song.

another boring set from Jovi.

I don't worry about setlists too much, as long as the show is good and has energy. However, this LH s**t needs to stop, I mean Bounce had much better songs that were dropped as soon as the Bounce tour was over, I mean how many people are really going to their concerts wanting to listen to LH, WGIGO, Summertime and ILTT? WLOL I can accept, but crap singles and filler album cuts from a crap album I cannot.

Jon believes in this album and wants to show us that so I think the songs are here to stay, not good.

IMO the only songs that need rotating from LH are:

Lost highway
Make a memory
Whole lot of leavin'
We got it going on
Any other day

Only one of the above is needed per show. IT IS NOT THE LOST HIGHWAY TOUR ANYMORE JON!

Hopefully soon he will think it is the These Days tour and pull out 4 or 5 from that record!
