I read most of the drama thread on Backstage and they said that the guy who got flipped off had a spiral thing with a lot of signs on it. The only one identified has been BOSS JR.

I can't believe songs like Radio, Runaway, Bells, Welcome and Bounce are in the setlist. With the huge amount they have to choose from, its ashame these are continuously played. Thank god Complicated and Story Of My Life weren't played but throw them into the mix and you've got a boring show.

How can someone honestly, in front of thousands of adoring fans who paid gobs and gobs of money to see him and his band, be so vein, yet unconfident, that they have to throw some little weasle out of the crowd? I hope they refunded his money and paid for his plane ticket home and his hotel. He paid to get in. I put up with all sorts of garbage at shows I go to because that is life. I think Jon is a big enough man to deal with it too.

And speaking of lacking confidence--the setlists still suck (there really isn't much change in them, we've all just gotten so used to no change at all that we say this is great). I am glad to here ITA is here to stay, but still not a single these days hit and minimal things from Keep the faith. These boys need to be the man band they always joke about being and play at least some of their other great songs for fans who pay their bloated ticket prices. Stop being so lazy. I know it will involve...oh, I don't know...rehearsal, but trust us, it will be worth it.

I'm bored with this band.

These Days hit huh? I wasn't informed there were any in the US.

Minimal KTF things eh? ITA, Sleep, Radio (same time period), BOR (sort of), and random appearances of KTF aren't enough eh? Sure I'd love more KTF stuff, but I'm not going to complain about it when the average show gets three KTF era songs.

Maybe it's just me, but I keep thinking that this is the "Have a Nice Day" tour, not the These Days tour like everyone seems to wish it was. I want to hear HAND songs played live (half of which I'll never hear live again, which is why I want to hear them now) and the band WANTS to play their new album, wouldn't you? Quit being such a pessimist. If you're bored with the band, even when they change up the set, then I suggest you rethink the time you spend on this board, and what "better" things you could be doing instead.

This is a GREAT setlist. The only one that topped this one was the one that had BOBITA in the encore... now that's how you do encores.

I like that they're mixing it up, but I don't like that they're leaving out Complicated, Story Of My Life and I Want To Be Loved, but are playing Bells Of Freedom.

Blah blah blah

Listen, I agree, it is GREAT that they are playing songs off of the new album. I went to a show on the tour and it was nice to hear (didn't get to hear Bells, but that's ok, at least I didn't have to hear IBTFY TLFR style heh). Jon sang Have A Nice Day superbly, WSYCGH dragged on forever (without Nettles there it almost sucks) with 20 or so 'It's Alrights' and so on. It sounded good and you are right, now is the only time to hear a lot of them, because the band certainly won't revisit them for the most part. Play the hell out of it, but it is ridiculous that not one These Days song has hit the scene at all during this ENTIRE tour. I have been to several concerts in the past few years and have basically heard all of the same 'classic' songs in the setlist. It's boring. Boring. BORING. If the ticket were only 20 bucks, it wouldn't be a big deal, but at 100 bucks, they had better throw something in there for fans like me (because there are plenty of them at every show).

These Days by no means bombed, it just didn't sell millions in the States. It all goes back to confidence...and rehearsal...

If they just threw one new or rare song in per show (and not the same one every time...ie. Radio) that would by no means destroy the evening for anybody. And it would be a REAL surprise to everyone there. And it is only 5 minutes of time for the show. That's is all I am asking for, one song per show, not some nostalgia tour with only songs off TD or KTF or Jersey or Slippery.

And it certainly can't destroy things the way IBTFY (TLFR) can obliterate the evening in 10 seconds.

From my understanding, it was security that escorted the guy out due to Jon's reaction. I could be wrong but I don't think Jon asked for him to be escorted out. Also I read that someone called the Atlanta radio station and said that the sign read "how does it feel to be the Boss Jr." or something to that effect. I don't know, I wasn't there so I'm just taking it the way I read it.

As for the setlist. I agree that the TLFR versions aren't my favorites. I'd much rather hear Richie sing it the original way than Jon and Richie sing it TLFR way. I am really happy with the setlist tho. Like someone else said, the majority of the audience are casual fans and don't know a lot of the songs that we would like to hear. For the person who said they are bored with this band, you have a choice. You don't have to follow them. Sorry you feel that way but no one is putting a gun to your head to go see them in concert. JMO.

I was surprised that Jon stood front and center and held his middle finger up for at least 20 seconds.I couldnt believe it. I had no idea what was going on but I could tell he wasnt happy. He did say something like " You wont get any brownie points for that ". Most of the night he seemed a little off.Not many smiles.Very few grins.I thought at one point he might be sick. His voice was fine, he just seemed tired. But the show was awesome and I was having fun.
Peace, Love and Understanding was cool. And Saturday night was first for me.When the band left the stage at the end ( right before Wanted..), Jon skipped the 'fake' exit (looking over his shoulder at the crowd and acting like he might do one more). Well, he left the stage and the lights started coming on and I thought he was done.....then, we got one more.It was a long 3 minute break. He didnt do that on my other 2 shows.
Twice he mentioned rumors, gossip and People magazine, all about Richie. He said " Dont believe everything you hear, there's two sides to every story".
Jon said the girls in Atlanta are Hot, he said, " I better stop looking or I might end up on the cover of People magazine". And Jon and Richie started laughing.Very funny.
The ramps on the side of the stage didnt even reach the crowd.Jon was leaning over the rails and was still 5 feet from anyone.
Thats all.

Thanks for your review.

The guy deserved to be flipped off if he was basically heckling Jon most of the night. The sign I'm sure was the last straw for Jon.
