Just a quick check in from the hotel. Sat night was completely acoustic - not electric. A very different setlist from the other shows I was at - no Novocaine - no BTBMB - no Treat Her Right. However Richie singing the "proper" version of I'll Be There for You was worth the price of admission - what a version. He sang his heart out - and the guitar was incredible. For those interested I am currently listening to it all over again - on my laptop
Bells of Freedom was a surprise - and very welcome. It's not one of my album favorites but I hadn't heard it live and it went over well in Atlantic City. And then there was In these Arms which kicked ass.
The woman I walked out next to told me she had just had a religious experience
The Borgata ran shuttle buses over to Boardwalk Hall - it made the whole experience even better.
I am now going downstairs to gamble a little (I'm not much of a gambler) have a few more drinks and party a bit more - a decent coverband is here
