Look at their posts about their gigs on UAE and Malaysia.
It suddenly turned political.

It's because of the current boycott of the country by artists. Israel is the new South African apartheid situation to stay away from.
Jon is losing a new big bunch of fans because of his decision to play over there.

Well, they are "playing" both sides of the fence -- and don't forget that Bon Jovi has a Jewish member.

Funnily enough, Google Translate explains that the band was named after their lead singer Jon Bon G'obi

Another detailed article, in English this time:

So they're already working on the setlist?! Will it be included in the contract?

"A key player in the concert negotiations was veteran French producer Marcel Avram, who helped the Bluestone Group work out details with Bon Jovi."

Marcel Avram is Romanian Jewish guy. No idea why he's quoted as French. He was very influential in getting Bon Jovi to play in Bucharest in 2011. I saw him speak on TV saying he wanted Bon Jovi to play his two home towns but only one worked out this time etc etc...

Just noticed it and remembered....I think it's an interesting world, the world of concert promoters....

Im surprised its actually taken this long for a petition to be set up! Lot of other artists have pulled out of playing concerts in Israel, be interesting to see if Jon stays on path. I would support a boycott but thats just me!

What do Israeli rock fans have to do with any Israeli policy? It's not like they'd be playing for the prime minister's fund raising. Let's face it, Bon Jovi cancelling a concert is about as much additional pressure on the Israeli government as a fly can exert flying full speed into a brick wall.

If Jon wants to play there, he should. End of story.
