Encore: Welcome, Who Says, Treat Her Right, Wanted. I think I would kind of like Who Says at the end of the show.
Yea, it's hard Lizz to get the set list from that thread since they didn't start the thread until the show was an hour in. I think there was BOR again. Weird, that Always hasn't been played now for 4 shows. I hope we get that one in Buffalo on Friday.

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Lizz, I have to wonder what "visibly ticked" means, lol!! I do remember that on the Bounce tour at the Charlotte show when the woman flashed that Jon was ignoring her but Richie was encouraging her to keep it up, lol!

>>>ya apparently some girl flashed him (Jon) from the front row and he got very "visibly ticked" ~ SamboraQueen21

What's the matter with Jon, that's part of rock n roll. I mean it's not a Barry Manilow or Up With People gig. Major primo stuff flashing at Motley Crue concerts. It's another reason I always have stage front tickets for rock concerts. Primo babe flashing helps justify the price, lol. Also, I've never seen flashing "tick off" Billy Idol, Steve Stevens, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, or any other major rockers. They love the "fan appreciation factor".

Another reason why Richie is #1 in my book. He's got the right rock n roll attitude

Default Charlotte Review & Fans Comments

Bon Jovi Rocks Charlotte Bobcats Arena
By Courtney Devores, The Charlotte Observer
Thu, Jan. 19, 2006

- Bon Jovi fans pack the house with energy
- '80s pop metal faves look good, sound good, smoothly mix old, new

Aging artists often appear to be going through the motions, but not Bon Jovi, who performed for a packed house at Charlotte Bobcats Arena on Wednesday.

Their rock 'n' roll sincerity was plastered across their faces as they bashed through a set of hits and new material. That fact was never more evident as during the band's latest hit, "Have A Nice Day," or the oldie "Bad Medicine."

A fit Jon Bon Jovi appeared in embroided denim and leather on a small stage at the back of the arena with an acoustic guitar for the first song, "Last Man Standing."

"You Give Love A Bad Name," the second song of the night, helped kick things off right for fans in their 30s, 40s and 50s who were dancing, singing and playing air guitars to the music.

Guitarist Richie Sambora soared through '80s-style solos and provided tuneful harmonies. Drummer Tico Torres, looking buff, seemed to enjoy himself more than anyone as he pounded through the set. Keyboardist David Bryan shined during "Runaway" on the bouncing keyboard hook and also turned in impressive background vocals.

The show attracted at least one local celebrity. Charlotte's own Ric Flair was escorted to the front row midway through the show and even stole some of Jon's thunder when onlookers "Whoo"-ed as Flair passed.

The sound from the arena floor was the best system since the new venue opened in October. Bon Jovi delivered a show that was as crisp and loud as a rock concert should be.
The seemingly tireless rockers didn't lose momentum until the dragging start of the still-powerful anthem "It's My Life."

It was apparent the seasoned lead singer could no longer hit all of his high notes. Instead he sang "I'll Be There For You" an octave lower than the original.

Article Feedback:

Great concert! I was really impressed with the new Bobcats Arena. Bon Jovi had everyone partying. Lots of fun. - Reed

Wow... Nice photo spread by The Observer. I think there's more than one member of Bon Jovi though... - Tico <<<

As always Bon Jovi put on an awesome show. I loved the mix of old and new songs and hearing some that I didn't think I'd hear. Really brought back memories from the Slippery When Wet tour many years ago, lol. - Brenna

Unbelievable show and performance by the band. The music, stage, lights and multi-media was the best Ive seen. Even KISS would have been jealous. The sound was perfect. They sounded like they were in the studio. The new songs fit in nice as well. Great night. Props to Jovi. Keep rocking! Better than the U2 show for sure. Sorry U2. - frank

Absolutely the most energizing experience! Bon Jovi has not aged one bit and he still acts so down to earth and interacts so personally with the audience. Absolutely incredible! - Kelli

Yelp, per the published TCO pics, Jon was the only band member performing that night. But at least TCO reviewed the concert, and it was a good review. More than I can say for other local newspapers.
