tic toc i totally agree with you - sometimes it holds true but there really is no way to tell - i just dorked off and wrote a review of last nights show while completely exhausted as i head off to the first ever NHL game broadcast in 3D at MSG but it goes straight to your argument...you are completely correct IMO. and i think i am surprised by opinion bc i may have disagreed from past experiences but based on the one i just had yours HAS to be right because its a negative postulate. if it is true in the negative then sometimes its true both ways but not always...ok i am so tired..

I don't give a **** if the crowd is dead, I paid the full ticket price, I'm definitely not dead and I want a ****ing amazing show like Montreal. Also, If the crowd is "dead" like you guys say, then it would me more of a reason to give it your all and bring those zombies back.
I think no crowd, as dead as it can be, don't go crazy with a song like Always, for example.

"Giving it your all" won't matter jack if the people watching you don't care for the song. The point isn't how much the band is putting into the rare song, it's the reception it gets stateside. If it's not a hit, the crowds are zoning out

How the f*** can some of you get so annoyed about a setlist.
Europeans bitching about sets in USA? Have we gone nuts?

Jon makes up the set and plays somewhere between 23 and 29 songs.
How can a setlist with Bon Jovi songs be shit? Explain that to me. Any band with shit songs is not a band that I would pay for, is not a band that i would even care about and is not a band i follow on a fan site such as this one....

If the band tomorrow plays a song such as 'king of the mountain' (which is not so great) everyone here goes like ... woooooooooooow yeah super hooray love it ... while 19800 folks in the place go like .. huh, what's that song? D'you see my point?

Or if they play a killersetlist today, but repeat it tomorrow you guys go 'hooray' on day one and then 'shit list' on day two...

All of you on this site see yourself as THE bon jovi fan. No dudes ... you (and I should count myself also among you) are this 0,0001% of all BJ fans. What do we call 0,0001% of a fanbase??? IRRELEVANT.

I also protest this set list bitching. A few months back you'd crap your pants if acoustic SFTP popped up or anything of the first 2 albums (except runaway) but soon as people get used to the setlist changes they start moaning again.

A very wise man said: "As long as BOBITA is not a permanent fixture in the setlist, then the setlist sucks".

The same wise man also said: "Whoever disagrees with me is wrong."

Spoke to David2211 earlier about this. The current setlist is pretty damn good at the moment. Don't know why people are wanting album cuts off an album like 7800, as it is a pretty dire collection of Rocky montage music.

Default setlists

First off let me say that I don't usually post on message boards so I know there are going to be some of the hardcore posters here who have nothing better to do than to bash me but so be it. I have to say I have been reading these boards since right before the Crush tour, so I keep in the loop. My comments are not meant to be offensive or insulting at all, I just feel like I need to comment. Having said that here goes.....

I am lucky enough to catch a couple of Jovi shows per tour. I live in a state where we will get one show a tour, so the other shows attended are shows that we have to travel to. Anyway the insults toward the setlists are just uncalled for. I don't know if you know but the tour is called "The Circle Tour." That means that they are touring behind The Circle album. You are going to get 5-6 songs a night from that album, because well that album is the reason for the tour. I love the old songs as well, but its not going to keep me from going. If all you want to hear are old songs then don't go. Bon Jovi is not a nostalgia act. They have made that point clear.

It really ticks me off that a lot of you sit around all day and bash and bash, but claim to be a die hard fan. The band is not playing just for you. Get over it. If you don't want to pay 125 for a ticket, go see a cover band. You will probably get the setlist you want.

I am happy with what I get because it is always a quality show and I don't get them that often.

Its time for some of you to get a life and/or a ****in job!!!!!!

Sincerely,
I.M Fletcher

PS - Have a nice day!!!!
