A bunch of people are bitching and complaining about set lists for shows that they weren't even at! This is the lowest of the low, I'm sure JBJ, the fore front of the biggest grossing tour in the world knows how to please the fans at any given show.

Sitting behind a computer screen you have no idea how the set went down, this constant obsessive monitoring of shows is unhealthy and a bit pathetic.

Get a life.
Some pretty solid points made there.

I follow the set lists but have never complained about them. I just don't see the point.

Exactly. I follow the setlists, out of interest. Im not going to get annoyed about them not playing a song though at a concert Im not even at. And even if you are there, your only runing the gig for yourself if you stood there just waiting for a rarity.

People complaining about people complaining.

Does the set list really mean anything? Of course not. At least not for me. I bitch about it here for a few minutes, then log off, and forget about it. I liken it to a soap opera. It means nothing in our lives, but it's something to occupy some down time. As for getting a life, please. We all have down time every day. How we choose to spend it as is our own choice. Saying someone needs to get a life is as juvenile and weak as sticking out your tongue and saying "NEENER-NEENER-NEENER."

If your favorite sports team goes out and plays an awesome game, then turns around and plays an absolute shit game, it pisses you off. You're rooting for these guys, and you know they can do better. That's what analyzing the set lists is like, for me anyways. And it's bothersome for the same reason - They make a lot of money, and if they CAN do better, they should. Why do people care about record sales or how well movies do at the box office? It's just curiosity in society. Who cares if people want to praise something or tear it apart. Free speech, and everyone's got an opinion. If you don't like it, don't read it. Pretty damn simple.

Nail on head. Iv learnt this the hard way, from now on for European tours its Manchester, London, Munich (in fact any german show seems to be good) or Dublin. Possibly Amsterdam too.

You kidding me? Most of us here will have to get 2nd jobs just to pay for the tickets!!

Jon himself has even admitted that the loyal fans deserve some rarities and to be fair, there has been some really good shows this tour so far and songs, I never expected to hear them sing again.

It means if you have seen the band 3/6/12/50 times before and the setlist doesn't change, you are unlikely to have as good of a time as you did the show before.

It also highlights the difference between the rhetoric the world gets from JBJ and the reality.

When people are getting squeezed for every cent for a ticket, these things might matter to some.

I have to say I have been reading these boards since right before the Crush tour, so I keep in the loop. My comments are not meant to be offensive or insulting at all, I just feel like I need to comment. Having said that here goes.....

I am lucky enough to catch a couple of Jovi shows per tour. I live in a state where we will get one show a tour, so the other shows attended are shows that we have to travel to. Anyway the insults toward the setlists are just uncalled for. I don't know if you know but the tour is called "The Circle Tour." That means that they are touring behind The Circle album. You are going to get 5-6 songs a night from that album, because well that album is the reason for the tour. I love the old songs as well, but its not going to keep me from going. If all you want to hear are old songs then don't go. Bon Jovi is not a nostalgia act. They have made that point clear.

It really ticks me off that a lot of you sit around all day and bash and bash, but claim to be a die hard fan. The band is not playing just for you. Get over it. If you don't want to pay 125 for a ticket, go see a cover band. You will probably get the setlist you want.

I am happy with what I get because it is always a quality show and I don't get them that often.

Its time for some of you to get a life and/or a ****in job!!!!!!

Sincerely,
I.M Fletcher

PS - Have a nice day!!!!
welcome!

playing a few songs of album 1 and 2 dont make them a nostalga act.
If thats the case they shouldnt play anything of SWW as that was released nearly 25 years ago.

people just want a bit more variery and i dont think theres anything wrong with that.

People are also annoyed as JBJ tweets the gig will have some old songs and then they dont arrive.

Very true. during the WMMR show on Wednesday, Jon says "I'm nothing more if I'm not a man of my word". He shouldn't make promises if he's not going to live up to them. Then people won't be disappointed.
