Default Official December 1, 2010 - Tokyo Dome, Tokyo JP thread

The last time the guys played here was the night before (November 30, 2010.) I think they will play one of the new songs, one they didn't play the night before.

Maybe they'll start breaking out the Christmas songs?

I don't think it's a national holiday like it is elsewhere, but some still celebrate it I believe. Can't be sure though. I'm sure they'll get some X-Mas tunes in Australia and NZ.

From wiki;

Countries such as Japan and Korea, where Christmas is popular despite there being only a small number of Christians, have adopted many of the secular aspects of Christmas, such as gift-giving, decorations and Christmas trees.

With regards to the two shows, I don't think they'll be very exciting setlist wise. They'll take a while to get back into it (full length shows) again I think.

They'll do What Do You Got? and one of the other ones... although I would rather they avoided all four and stuck to songs which don't totally suck.

christianity in japan is a minority religion, so they'll probably save that for australia and new zealand. or who knows, being part of the show, they'll play the christmas songs either way, why not?

anyway, i think it's a great idea opening a thread for each date. i can't say much about this topic, except it would be great to attend a jovi show in japan.

22-song set with 2-song encore. WDYG the only new song played. Photos showed most of the upper tier seats were empty! The promoter the day before the concert was saying that lots of tickets were still available. I wonder what happened...high prices or little demand. Were ticket prices ever discounted? Who makes that decision--the promoter or BJ? I'd rather "paper" the tiers with give-away tickets than stare at empty seats.

It is currently 4:30 in Japan. I think the show last night started around 7:30.
